HR2630/2 240V 26mm Rotary Hammer SDS-Plus The HR2630 has a powerful 800 watt motor, to deliver up to 2.4 Joules of impact energy, 4,600 ipm and 1,200 rpm. Compact and lightweight. Variable speed trigger allows the operator to adjust the speed based on the material or application and has 3 mode operation, for rotation only, hammer with rotation or hammer only. The modified operation mode change lever enables to switch from rotation to hammering mode and vice versa without rotating the chuck. The torque limiter stops rotation if a bit jams to protect the motor and operator safety. The HR2630 has 40 different bit angle settings, a one touch sliding chuck for easy bit instalation and removal, depth stop and a forward / reverse lever positioned to allow the brushes to be located so that the drill maintains the same speed and torque in both forward and reverse.

I bought it to help with demolition of a conservatory and was a bit worried whether it would have the guts to get the job done (I questioned myself about that too to be honest). I needn't have worried. It ate through the mortar holding the bricks in place like it wasn't there, making taking the walls apart really easy. Bought a Faithfull 40mm Chisel Bit for lifting the floor tiles and in combination with the HR2630 that job was completed in minutes. Used it for drilling into the concrete footings this morning prior to removing them with a breaker and it went into the concrete with minimal effort. For such a lightweight tool it performs really well. After seeing how good this is and having enjoyed using my Makita LCT204W Cordless Drill Plus Impact Driver Kit for the last couple of years, Makita will be top of my list for future power tools.

Powerful enough. - I was worried this would be too low powered for breaking poorly laid concrete below slabs I was resetting, as a lot of the cheaper brands are higher powered. But it’s great, went through it like butter. I’d spent a day previously trying by hand and this did more in 5 minutes! Feels well made, decent length cable, variable speed trigger, decent case. Happy I paid a bit more for a good brand. Comes with zero drill bits or breaker accessories, but I already had those.

**Q: Hi. i want to now, if the acessory set comes with all that drills, because in the image i only see 3 drils?!**
A: Hi mine came with no drills so I sent it back. Then thay sent me another drill with no accessories again. So I phoned Amazon and got £20 back and brought a full set of drills for £21 hope this helps John. Builder.

**Q: Can this drill get through granite? Only need a hole 6mm wide and 100mm deep...**
A: You gonna need a diamond core drill bit or a carbide drill bit, the drill will go through it no problem but you'd need specialist drill bits (carbide or diamond) which it doesn't come with

**Q: Since new, this drill has jumped about and has a seriously wrenching hammer action making it difficult to control. Does this sound normal please?**
A: Yes it's normal. People really need to know what they're buying! The hammer function on an sds drill is used for chiselling concrete. If you want to drill a hole in concrete use the drill+hammer setting.

**Q: Can this break up an outdoor concrete floor to get to the soil underneath? Will it need a big drill chisel?**
A: Might do it but would suggest something heavier duty. Maybe look at a local hire centre. It's a good hammer drill though
