To say I have digestive issues is sadly a huge understatement. I can tolerate about 4 things.I have SIBO, Fructose Mal, Celiac...The good news is that the first book, Digestive Health with REAL food has me healing. Because of "the cookbook" I am able to be even more creative about the few things I can eat.These recipes heal and nourish a damaged system.For example, Cinnamon Ghee Bites. Since I am unable to tolerate any starchy food I depend on fats to give me my energy. Who knew these little bites would be so great at energizing and keeping my cravings away. I will note that if you are not on board with an elimination diet and never read the first book this recipe my seem a tad strange. So anyone buying this book as just another Paleo cookbook will probably not understand it.Also, I am not able to tolerate a lot of recipes in this book but with my knowledge in the kitchen I am able to tweak them. I think the author had that in mind when she wrote it. Make recipes with the things you can tolerate. Over time I am excited to know that I will eventually be able to tolerate most of these recipes. This book will be helpful when I am able to reintroduce some foods. This cookbook is full of great ideas!So yes, 5 stars plus! But get it with her first book to be the most effective.I can't wait to try the Mellow Marrow recipe.

Easy, healthy recipes, beautiful photos
This cookbook is a great companion to Ms. Jacob's first book that outlined in detail how to heal gut problems with a specific dietary approach. The first book, Digestive Health with REAL Food is the best guide I've read (and I've read many) about how to actually do an elimination diet. The elimination diet is limited, and isn't easy to follow for long periods of time, although it's necessary to heal. The cookbook makes it easier by offering lots of recipes suitable for the elimination phase of the diet. I was pretty desperate for some new ideas, and was delighted to find them here. There are also many recipes that include ingredients not on the elimination diet, so people who can tolerate a wider range of food have creative options.Most of the recipes are simple, but elegant. Some are innovative, such as the Grain-Free Sushi. I haven't had time to test the recipes yet, since I just got the book, but I'm excited about trying them as soon as I can. The book has everything from appetizers to desserts, all beautifully photographed.

Life Saving - Gut Saving
Awesome cookbook if you are dealing with digestive issues. The author offers many foods for you to try, especially if you have IBS or "leaky gut". Lots of quirky new things that can be very healing like tummy gummys made from fruit and gelatin. I also tried the fresh ferment pickles and they are actually better than I expected. Also worth your while to read her very comprehensive book "Digestive Health With Real Food". It covers so many conditions and gives so many helpful suggestions that I find myself referring to it over and over again. She pointed the way for me to explore things I didn't know were an issue for me but I now know can help me if I eliminate certain triggers from my diet.

This book is a godsend!!
This book is a godsend!! I've already purchased copies for my Doctor, friends and family!! I've been searching for dairy free, gluten free, grain free alternative recipes for YEARS!!! This book is not only absolutely BEAUTIFUL (with pictures that just invite you into making them for yourself), it is FULL of amazing ideas that I would never have thought of before!I've never tried ghee, coconut cream or butter - and now using these and other ideas in my food choices! I'm so thrilled!! I can't thank Aglaee enough for putting such a beautiful book together - thank you, thank YOU!!!!

Gives you ideas when your diet is limited
The recipes gave me other options on what to eat. I first check this book out from the library, and like it so my that I order it off of Amazon.

Great, comprehensive book
Great, comprehensive book. Not just the "hows" but the "whys" which is helpful to stay on track with any diet change. Could have a better index.

Digestive Health with REAL FOOD: The Cookbook
Aglaee out did herself with this scrumpulous cookbook!!! I am Lactose ,fructose, & grain intolerant, so I REALLY appreciate the receipes in this cookbook. I haven't found a cookbook that even compares to this one in receipes for so many food intolerances. She states in each receipe if an ingredient may be a FODMAP and, which ingredient may be problematic for some people. I use to only eat to survive, now I can enjoy eating.

If you have any digestive issues (and maybe you don't know what's causing them) this is the book for you (along with her first book too!). This cookbook will help you along your journey to a happy tummy by providing lots of recipes for you to use throughout the elimination diet (also addresses FODMAPs, Nightshades, etc.). It's full of yummy, simple, real food recipes that anyone can make. Great book!!!

Excellent book…but..
Great book on digestive health (one of the best out there in my opinion and I've read many!)…but, essentially you'll be eating carrots, spinach, chicken and coconut oil until you feel better. Great if you don't mind the restriction, but if you want a life (who doesn't?) get 'Happy Belly' by Nadya Andreeva instead.
