My 1st piano method book
This is my first method book and as a recent beginner a couple of months earlier I had been using built in features in a very old Yamaha keyboard for a month then bought a Yamaha p125 which came with 3 months of flow key. Which also has some intro lessons which I worked through for the 1month prior to this book and felt like I needed something more. When self learning rhythm and dynamics are the bit you miss to much of. So decided to try this book so far have found it informative as it’s filled in lots of theory gaps which I needed. The counting and rhythm bits are not as well explained at the beginning as I needed. Counting 16th notes and 8th notes but Manet just haven’t reached that bit yet. The rhythm drills in unit 6 were particularly useful and pushing my playing forward. I expect a teacher would have established this earlier. The book helps with sight reading skills through practice and interval training and feel that I have progressed in this with the aid of the book and the app. Currently I’m at page 122 but still struggle to match the tempo of faster pieces while maintaining rhythm starting to spend more time on each piece as a result of understanding what’s needed. Expect if using with a teacher will move more slowly at the beginning to get the basics in. Find the app to be good after purchasing the lessons. Have also purchased the classics book. There is a review of learning at the end of each section. Only weakness I would say is an explanation of what you need to achieve to move on from each section. As an ex lecturer i would put in a list of must be able to before moving on at end of each section. Probably assumed your teacher would decide for you or it’s so obvious to the authors. All in all I would say worth the money for the books and online music in the app.

Amazing Piano Book!
This is a superb book and I'm so impressed with it that I've bought Book 2. As described, it's for adult beginners or adults returning to playing the piano (I'm in the latter group). The presentation and content is excellent, everything clearly explained and nothing taken for granted / no assumptions made. I love the QR codes provided for each chapter with the accompanying tutorials and performance options. To be able to play along to background music even at this early stage, makes learning great fun. All the theory is very clearly explained. If you are wanting to learn the piano or pick up again after many years, I would strongly recommend this resource - it's just fantastic! I believe the two books will get me back to intermediate level in time. The spiral binding means the book stays open on the piano book rest with ease. If I may, I would like to suggest that if learning the piano as a complete beginner without any prior musical background, it would be helpful if you took lessons with a music teacher who would be invaluable in helping you get the most out of these books. There are 'teacher' accompaniments provided as well.

Incredible value
This is really well thought through, and includes links to demonstrations so that you can listen to the pieces on your phone or tablet and play along to the accompaniments. It’s brilliant. A couple of aspects might be American rather than British - eg the term for a bar of music - but this is very incidental. As an adult learner, I bought this alongside the first book of popular tunes by the same author, and I am using them alongside each other, learning some theory and then alternating with enjoying playing some well know tunes. Totally brilliant and I’m enjoying learning. THANK YOU. This book would be great value even it were a lot more expensive.

Excelent Material quality! Fast Shipping! Very Good Method for Adults!
The method starts a bit different, for this, it's without a doubt very interesting. it talks about a lot of very important concepts very soon, which I find perfect to keep adults motivated, so it's not just playing notes. In this method, the student doesn't get stuck on the same C Major Position. Also mentions Lead Sheet Reading if i'm not mistaken. Overall, very satisfied!

Excellent
Total beginner to the instrument coming from an unschooled rock guitar background.I love the layout and how well the concepts are explained. The pace is fair and gets you playing in different positions from the start so you are always challenged. We are taught plenty of theory and technique at a gradual pace, but I do wish they had more worksheets to consolidate what they are teaching.I am only on unit 3 but very satisfied with my progress so far and would recommend this book to anyone who is starting out.

Good for beginners
I have been a self taught pianist for 30 years. I was recommended this book. But actually it is a bit basic for my ability. Very good for new learners though.
