So much better than flying by a timer. Set your low voltage warning limit, allowing for one more go around (if needed) and set-up for landing. When flying using a timer, I would always land and have plenty of battery left (ie. I could have stayed in the air longer). Now I can maximize my flying time and still land with the battery still above the manufacturer's recommended low voltage of the battery.
