Make wood burning great again
Works great! Good quality. Very fast to heat up. Loads of nibs. Two pens so you can switch from point work to shading super easy. Great value for the money. I'm newish to wood burning and this is way better than other products I've tried.

Good woodburning unit for beginners and advanced users
Compact woodburning kit. Having two pens is convenient. Used to make Christmas gifts and it worked well. Having several tips to use is an extra bonus. Very well made and compact. The padding on the pens make them comfortable to grip and heat does not transfer to your hand. Glad this was purchased.

Quickly and easily switch between tips
Great product love the digital temperature gage and ability to use two different pens makes switching between tips easier. Tips cool off quickly adding greater flexibility. Best wood burning I've ever owned.

Nice pyrography set for beginners . Great value ratio.
Thus far this is a nice little machine. There have been others talking about its ability to keep temp. What I’ve found is when first ramping up the temp the tips will rapidly heat up. Give it about a minute to normalize. The next thing: if you’re doing a large piece you will need to stop from time to time because prolonged use does cause temperature to decrease. Letting the unit “rest “ for a couple of minutes will allow the temperature to normalize again. Is this an issue. Not really imo. I’m not in a time crunch to finish anything so I’ve no issues. The grip is comfortable and there is no issue I’ve had with the heat getting too much. There was a learning curve as my other unit allows you to be closer to the burn tip. The unit heats up quickly and is ready to go after a minute or two ( if you allow it to normalize). There are several tips included with the device. While this is nice I would have liked to see a ball tip included. You really get 5 tips that are duplicated. I would have rather received 10 tips that are all different than duplicates. The body seems fairly durable and the co tools are intuitive. The wire harness are heavy duty to allow for a good electric flow to the pens. It is also nice to have the pen housing on the unit for when not in use. Overall, at this time, I’m giving a true rating of 4.5 stars. I don’t have much to compare the device to besides two others. One being a blade style pen. If anything changes I will update the rating. But 4.5 is the highest it will be. If there had been more variation in the tips and the distance between your fingers to the tips the rating would have been higher.

BLOWN AWAY WITH THIS TOOL
I had to break down and buy another one after a similar one broke, and after digging forever, decided on this one. Mostly, I have a problem with these tools not getting hot enough. That's really my BIGGEST need. I'm willing to put up with a lot of negatives in other areas but not that one and I'm thrilled to report that this thing AMAZED me. I didn't even put it on the highest setting and it moved like butter through the wood! I carved on the lid of one of those wooden craft boxes you get from Hobby Lobby. But on top of it working amazing, the hand tool had a heat foam insulator and I not once felt the heat of it like my other one. Also, it had a small tin can for the tips! You'd think that's not a big deal but it is. Where did I put my tips? That's not something you want to not know the answer to when going to do a job. And the tin can for the tips has a spot on the machine that it SITS in! How convenient. It also came with the tools to put the tips on and off and even spare screws. Loved that. I love the cradle that the hand tools sit in also, just perfect. The base is heavy and doesn't move, I like that as well. I wish the cord was a little longer but it's def not a deal breaker. Overall--absolutely love it. Now I'm praying it lasts lol.

Fabulous!
Once you have used an inexpensive starter set and realize you love pyrography, this is a FABULOUS next set to get. Small footprint, so it fits easily on my craft table, and so easy to put together. Two pens you can put nibs in and switch between while working, attached holders for hot pens, loads of other wire nibs in a container that is part of the unit, and a temperature dial to more precisely customize the heat, as well as a very broad range of temperatures (tip: start low until you get comfortable moving up, or you may ruin your piece). One of the best parts is the insulated grips for both pens to avoid your working hand from being exposed to extreme heat, which can and does happen with less expensive sets when you are working for a while, and it can cause extreme discomfort and even burns. I'm definitely keeping my starter set, because it has some great attachments, but it just doesn't work for me for everything, especially since I do a ton of writing in addition to drawing and shading. This set has changed the game for me for writing in particular, but I can't wait to try out more of the different nibs. Highly highly recommend this set.
