Product Description Action hero Vin Diesel stars in this fast-paced comedy as Lt. Shane Wolfe, a tough-as-nails Navy SEAL who has controlled military operations in every corner of the globe. Now, the ultimate test comes when he's assigned to protect a house loaded with five out-of-control kids. But even when he trades combat gear for diapers and juice boxes, it's not just a babysitting job - it's an adventure. .co.uk Review Vin Diesel is game to soften his tough-guy image in The Pacifier, in which he plays hot-shot Navy S.E.A.L. Shane Wolfe, whose latest mission goes awry when the scientist he's sent to rescue is popped off before he can tell Wolfe where he's hidden some Top Secret software something-or-other. Before you can say Kindergarten Cop, Wolfe is assigned guard duty at the scientist's family home, where he's left with some unruly kids when the widow (Faith Ford) takes off to Switzerland to claim her hubby's safety deposit box under the guidance of Wolfe's superior officer. The trouble with this paint-by-numbers fish-out-of-water kiddie comedy is that Diesel himself is a fish out of water in the movie--he's no comic and is far funnier when he's unintentionally spoofing macho heroics in The Chronicles of Riddick. The film limply throws everything it can at you, including the idea of Wolfe directing a community theater production of The Sound of Music, but is just biding its time until the predictable action climax and hugs-all-around denouement. Vin doesn't look embarrassed, but the supporting cast sure does, especially Everybody Loves Raymond's Brad Garrett as a bombastic vice principal and Gilmore Girls' Lauren Graham as Garrett's boss and Diesel's sudden love interest.--Steve Wiecking, .com

Enjoyable comedy
My daughters love this film and we hadn’t seen it for a number of years until we were discussing it one day as favourite films of childhood. It shows Vin Diesel in a comedic role as he rises to the challenge of being a babysitter to an unruly bunch of children. It has echoes of an alternative Von Trapp household and an alternative song & dance sequence too. The Peter Panda dance is a favourite in our house after rewatching this film

A brilliant film and the other side of Vin Diesel
This film was one of the most enjoyable I have watched for some time. Vin Diesel showed a different side to his usual macho tough guy role. The film was funny but had a serious side to it. I would recommend this film to anyone who wished to see how a Navy Seal deals with a bunch of kids. Hilarious and I loved it.
