Cable broken - Not strong
A rope would be stronger than this cable. The hook and the cable is not at strong and is made with low quality materials. Mine got broke. When towing a vehicle of approx 4000kg in my first use . I don’t suggest this anyone.

A thin coating will help in avoiding rust for a useful product
The car tow cable is good but needs a paint to avoid rusting. Ther are many thin coatings available to get it coated to avoid the rust.
