We chose the most important features to create a DAC that produces excellent sound quality at a modest price. Comes in an attractive case that is easy to use and at a low price. The Sabre 9018 reproduces the full spectrum of sounds in detail. The 9018 DAC chip is a high-end chip and in combination with the Sabre headphone driver offers a combination of outstanding sound. It has very low background noise that is ideal for even the most sensitive headphones. Tested to be paired with Audio Technica ATH-M50 (38ohm, 99dB), Sennheiser HD650 (300ohm, 103dB), IEM: JH Audio JH-13 (28ohm, 116dB) to produce high quality sound. Sabre 9018 does not need any drivers for the most common systems and programs: Windows, MAC, Linux. iTunes, Spotify and Android. Sabre 9018 can play any format (MP3, AIFF, FLAC etc.) from high-performance CDs to high resolution 96kHz/24bit files. If it does not support 196k or 384kHz of course, it will not even play DSD files. Why? Most users do not have 192/384/DSD files. You can't enjoy a quality 384kHz DAC when playing high performance (or high resolution 96kHz) CDs.
