Great product, but some tips to help install.
Good guards. However some tips on install as I have seen mention of the screws that come with them as "junk". The screws are not the issue, its the recommended drill bit size in manufacturer's instructions. Being familar with metal working and machining, i realized that the recommended 1/8" drill bit size is too small immediately for the screws provided. The perfect pilot drill size is 5/32". Please note this. Dont use junk self tapping screws in your cubbord or junk box as they wont look that great and like to back out over time from vibration. For the rears, unless you have a 90° Drill/screw gun, you WILL have to remove the rear wheels for install. Simple enough with a floor jack. Follow the instructions at this point and the install will work out perfect. Replace wheels and check lug nuts again after a drive for torque IF you have aluminum wheels. For the fronts, it was much easier. Run truck and turn wheel to where the side you want to work at the time is turned outward. Follow instructions at this point. HOWEVER, note that the BOTTOM hole has multiple layers of material and a panel bolt in the fender. It is easy to break your pilot drill bit in the bottom holes of the fronts if not careful. I lost a bit per side due to binding, but it didnt affect the install in the end and just now have bit tips floating somwhere in the fenders haha.Overall like these guards, and for the price they are pretty heavy duty and best of all they are OEM looking. They are not a basic plastic but a robust polymer with a decent texture. Did have to use a razor to trim burs on edges as they werent cleaned from factory. Ive had them for a short time but live on a gnarly dirt road and so far been blocking rock chips well. I have them on a 2013 F150 FX4 WITH the factory running boards/nerf bars and plenty of room regardless description and has the OEM fender flares. They will not work with the fiberglass running boards that are enclosed and running wheel well to wheel well. Wouldnt reccomend for lifted trucks with oversized tires as they wont block much then. If i can add pics later I will. Hope these tips help, the drill bit size being biggest one. Only took me 20 minutes to do all four.
