How environmentally friendly is it?

According to the SDS sheet for the product, there is no sulphuric acid in Oven Pride. The product contains sodium hydroxide, so a high pH alkali, quite the opposite to an acid! It is not environmentally friendly.

will this remove burnt on grease from hard anodised frying pans

I wasn't really sure what anodised means. Having checked, anodising is the process to promote the formation of an aluminium oxide layer on a base material. The instructions clearly state that this IS NOT to be used on aluminium.
