I am very pleased with this thick and very good quality fabric, it's weighty and as described. The price was very reasonable and I plan to buy more now that I know it's decent quality. Love it. Making curtains out of it.

I was expecting the calico to be a little heavier. However, it was ideal to stick to plywood with PVA and then prime and paint in oil paints upon. It was a bit too light in weight for me to stretch over stretcher for oil paintings.

im covering upholstery springs with this fabric as its nice and strong.

I ordered 4 meters of this, as I needed some to line a quilted dog bed cover and the rest for embroidery practice and lots of other bits and bobs. I didn’t quite realise how wide this is, I have MASSES left over so it’s going to last me years!It’s cream with the brown bits in, just like natural cotton calico should have. It’s not bleached white or have any chemical smells because of this. The reviews slating the colour and the flecks need to read up on what cotton is, where it comes from and what natural actually means.It is rather stiff and sturdy, which is some ways makes it a dream to sew, but it can end up a bit like manipulating cardboard when it comes to dissimilar curved seams - sewists out there will know what I mean.I will definitely be buying again, once I have managed to get through the mountain I already have. Heck, at this price I might just buy another mountain and insulate my walls with it!

It’s a lightweight calico, it’s cheap so its lighter than a bit more expensive one. It doesn’t hold shape well like a stiff calico. It arrived wrinkled. But it is cheap and suitable for projects where you don’t need it to hold shapes like puffs. On the pther hand it is more breathable.
