This came quickly and a great book to help my son with his first year at college.

A very concise and direct textbook
I've used this book for my City and Guilds College course since the day of it's arrival, and I have found it most helpful. It is well explained and easy to understand with various sections of text that are supported by photographs or drawings to aid visual understanding. It covers all areas of both Site Carpentry and Bench Joinery to a moderate level. Even when I have completed my course, I am sure that it shall continue to serve well for general reference.
