**Q: Lock laces are fine when they stay in place. But when one end slips out it's almost impossible to thread them through the lock clip again. Ideas?**
A: Yes, re-melt the end of the lace in a lighter flame, clean off, and thread through. After re-opening the clip, of course !

In order to ensure optimal fitment of our Brown Sneaker Lock Laces on your Desert boots, we recommend measuring the length of your laces on your boots. From here you can compare the length of your boot's laces to the length of our Brown Lock Laces, which is 48 inches.

**Q: Tying and untying the ending is difficult. Is there an easy way?**
A: Have you followed the fitting instructions ? lace the shoes as normal & then pass the ends through the sliding grip clip, adjust the length to that required & then fit both ends into the end clip - there is no requirement to tie anything.

**Q: Can we get longer than 48" for walking boots. I know there are pictures of them on hiking boots, but mine are higher cut than these.**
A: We currently do not offer laces in the color green apple longer than 48". However, we do have Lock Laces® for Boots which are 72” long and extremely durable, fitting all lace-up boots from low-cut hiking boots to military boots.

Easy to follow instructions make these laces easy to fit. Once you have cut the laces ,burn the ends to stop fraying. The laces stretch but I don't think that they will loosen off to much in time. Would recommend.

I bought these because I have a problem with acid reflux and therefore, bending double to reach my feet can have unfortunate consequences! However, once installed and fixed, I find I still have to do approximately the same amount of bending to loosen, put my foot in, then re-tighten these ties. Perhaps this will improve as I get to know them better and any advice from fellow sufferers/users of elasticated laces would be greatly appreciated. Therefore, so far the jury is out. I haven't had them long enough, really, to give them a proper assessment - I usually wait at least three months before doing so.
