One of the remotes worked - just - for one session but then wouldn't work at all the following day, so I found this one on desertcart and, as it is very reasonably priced, thought I'd try it. It took nearly a month to arrive from China, which was a bit of a nuisance, and I wasn't actually that confident it would work, but it synced immediately and works perfectly. It takes normal AA batteries, so I was able to use it immediately, and I will probably get rechargeable ones for it at some point. The main thing is that it works and is barely indistinguishable from the genuine Wii remotes. I will definitely order a second one, because now that I have one working remote, I'm not now bothered about the length of time it will take to get it delivered. Very pleased with my purchase. My fears seemed to be confirmed when I received this as it wasn't packaged in new box but seemed more like it was second hand.
