I love looking at these cards. They are vibrant, luminescent, beautiful! I enjoy the way the light plays with the gold foil and bring out certain aspects. Also, the various reflective designs that have been added to the cards enhance the feel, effect and meaning of the cards. There is nothing boring about this Rider-Waite deck. The backs are gorgeous, too. They have an elegance but they are fun. The cards feel thin but in no way fragile. I read reviews before purchasing and the reviews are correct about how utterly slippery these cards are. You'll get jumpers. They're flexible but they slide around more than any deck I have and I own a lot of decks. They remind me of how children have so much energy they find it difficult to stay put. They're here, there and everywhere. Lol. Seriously, get ready to just try holding them without some of the cards getting away from you. Lol. However, the fact that they're lively doesn't bother me. I just have to handle them and not let them handle me. For sure. Also, other reviews mention the chemical smell of the cards. They weren't kidding or lying to you! It's definitely there, so be prepared for how you're going to deal with that, e.g., what methods you're going to use to reduce or get rid of the scent. The box is sturdy, very nice, opening from the side with a magnetic closure. I am so glad I purchased this deck.

Bold gold, VERY shiney. Which is the deck's attraction. Might want your sunglasses on if using outdoors in direct sunlight. 😎 (Or a welder's mask? LOL!). Reputed by some to be hard to handle, but I do not find them inordinately so. They riffle shuffle nicely, which I was not expecting from a deck deemed slippery by some. Made of plastic, they seem durable. Thin. Washable, I assume. Good printing, nice colors. I like them. They won't be my daily go-to deck, but when in a mood to mix it up a bit, I definitely will be reaching for them. One small caveat: the magnet on their nicely made box is not overly strong. If you should handle the box upside down the lid will open and the cards will spill out. Nothing a rubber band or two won't prevent.

They are so beautiful. They are kinda slick, so they shuffle really easily. One of my favorite products and I'm glad I purchased them.

To get the bad out of the way, there are a few cards of mine that don't appear perfectly center. While it's only millimeters and not that noticeable, and probably not going to affect you unless you're picking a card from a face down spread, I feel like I'm obligated to knock a star for this. I really expected higher precision for something as basic as that. This deck is so different from my paper decks. Other reviews are right that they are super slippery despite the foil texture, as well as the first ten seconds of removing the shrink wrap giving off a strong citrus odor which probably gave me a cancer boost, but just look at them. The textures, luster, and colors look magnificent by candlelight. I took two pictures, with and without flash, although maybe a video would do better justice for the cards. Even the instruction booklet comes in full color. I never received a booklet in color before. Waterproof is huge plus for these as well, not that I plan to go swimming with them, but just in case I ever get caught in the rain with these. Plus if someone spills a drink on them, you can wash them. Any tarot readers who travel for work should find this useful, such as at a Ren-Fest booth. I'm pretty sure they will crease if you fold them all the way, so I'm not doing a destruction test on mine. I don't know how oils will react to PVC, but I'm assuming you can safely anoint the deck if that is something you do. I've never done it before. The tablecloth comes wrapped around the hard box, set inside of the soft box package. It has a pretty cool looking zodiac design, but mine had a tiny area where paint didn't get applied. The cloth itself is a fabric soft plastic material, similar to some types of reusable shopping bags or those unusable rain ponchos. It's kind of nice though as something free to go with the deck, especially if you want to leave your better tablecloths at home. Whether you're taking this deck with you into the woods, or setting it up on a family alter, it should be good to use for all occasions. The price is not bad at all either, cheaper than many paper decks.

I like these cards for several of its qualities. Firstly, be aware that these are a somewhat larger sized card set, as the vast majority of Amazon cards are that are housed in these type of magnetic boxes. My medium/large hands can manage shuffling them, though these have a tad more stiffness than some others, that are typically sold at a higher price. I like these cards border less images I like the back design that doesn’t give a clue about uprightness of the cards image. Both sides of these richly darker cards have a coppery Smokey edge that adds a mysterious texture to them. Personally, my style of choosing individual cards during a reading is enhanced by slippery cards. Cards that make themselves known (by falling out during a shuffle). I take this as a major message of communication. These happy accidents are relevant session symbols, often, they are the only muses for the entire reading. At the currant selling price (2/28/2025) I risked buying 4 decks … and I am satisfied & will not be returning them. A great value.

LOVE the quality for the price point. The cards are a bit “slippery” and can be difficult to shuffle at first, but I was able to become familiar with how much pressure to use when handling them fairly quickly! NOTE that the foil does peel after heavy use, but I’m so pleased with them / how long and heavy I had to use them for any wearing to even happen / the price point as well. So TLDR for sure love and am repurchasing - but the con is that some people may not want to repurchase hahaha

Beautiful deck, I love the way it looks, though of course since it's very shiny it may blind you if you're using them next to a sunny sill or outside. They are slippery but I personally don't mind. The guide is helpful in some ways, but the translations are kind of off for the English portion so I don't find it super helpful outside of ideas for different ways to cast the cards. I do like how these are waterproof and I find them to be a good size, but the smell/odor of the ink or whatever process they did to make these cards is incredibly strong. I should have looked at the reviews that mentioned that before I purchased mine because I would have reconsidered since I'm sensitive to chemical odors like that, hence why removing 2 stars. I am working on getting rid of the smell quicker since it's here now, but it may just need to passively air out for a long time. Decent value for money. edit: I was able to wash out most of the smell by washing them twice with dish soap, but it is still present. edit 2: After using them for a few days for multiple castings some of the edges of the card decals are already pulling up from the edges, so I'll have to glue them down or something. Not ideal.

Beautiful cards but they are a lot more "gold" and reflective than I expected from the images. I was expecting it to be more cream/ivory with gold accents. Anyway, it was night time when I first opened it and it did not look good under lights. I've used it in the mornings since and it looks a lot better in natural light. One of these was on a bright day out of direct sunlight - and the other is in the same location on a slightly overcast day. I think it looked the best on the overcast day. In other respects, I like it. The box is nice. I agree the cards are slippery but that makes them very easy to shuffle (I feel like I'm shuffling like an expert, lol). I can't comment on durability but I'm gentle with my decks so hopefully they will last a while.
