I ordered this magnetic charging mount with the idea of attaching it to the side of my desk to hold my iPhone at a good viewing angle. And for that purpose, this mount was/is pretty much a perfect choice, because it does allow me to adjust my phone to the ideal viewing angle while I'm at my desk.But, of course, this mount also has the ability to charge your phone. Which I like, but I’m not certain that constantly keeping your phone battery charged to 100% is a good thing. In my experience, I think this shortens your phone battery’s useable life. So, while I always keep the USB C side of the charging cable plugged into the mount, I only plug the USB A side of the charging cable when I actually want to charge my phone.One thing you should know about this mount is that it is BIG AND BEEFY. The suction cup that attaches the mount to my desk is enormous (4.25-inches). Which is fine since the size of a suction cup on the side of my desk doesn’t matter much. HOWEVER, it would definitely matter if you are planning to attach the suction cup to your windshield. Because in my opinion it is big enough to cause a bit of a blind spot. And it will definitely be a bit of an annoying visual obstacle. So just keep that in mind if you plan to attach the mount to your windshield.That aside though, I really like this smartphone mount. UPDATE: This charger has been so good and sturdy that I ordered a second one for our other car. It's worth the high price.----Everyone in my family now has a MagSafe case, so when I saw this I figured it could work well for us. I've gone through a bunch of car mount chargers and they can be hard to open or shut or hard to get to stay up.This charger comes with an absolutely massive suction cup. I really had to torque hard on the little lever to tighten it to the windshield, but now I'm confident that it won't go anywhere.I ran a USB C cable from an existing cigarette lighter charger I had to this unit. It comes with a wire but not the charger itself, but I didn't expect it to. It worked right away.I have not had any issues with my phone falling off, and in fact the first time I used it was on a 5 hour round trip. My phone stayed secure over every bump and the suction cup stayed in place as well.My wife said that when she didn't make sure her case magnet lined up perfectly that her phone would seem like it was attached but then would fall off, but she quickly figured out how to properly center it and make sure it is attached.In any case, I am very happy with it, and even though it's expensive, I'm considering getting one for our other car as well.

The mount itself is heavy duty and solid, but I was worried about the magnet feature. I was pleasantly surprised. It holds my beefy phone well and hasn't dropped it once, even while bouncing all over the place at construction sites. It's nice to have a hands-free charge while the phone is mounted, so I can just grab the phone and go without worrying about cables. If you have a textured case, use gorilla glue. The magnet rings it comes with will only work on a flat surface. The adhesive isn't strong enough to allow any "disconnect" between the ring and the phone. On my android (otterbox), it hasn't ever come loose, but on my iPhone case I had to use gorilla glue since it has those grip ridges on the back.

Love this thing. It is very heavy duty. Really sticks to the window of my big rig with its massive suction cup and really holds the phone on those rough roads. So nice to have the wireless charger, it works great even through the case. Stiff but flexible, really holds the phone tight. Multi adjustable arm to fit almost any window and dash.Highly recommend this item. You will like it a lot.

Very good arm mount for your vehicle. The wireless charging is good also but I’d recommend using the provided magnetic ring for the phone to mount properly and very strong use it in my work truck and very happy with it. Mag safe cases for your iPhone is the way to go for this mount.

It is good. My only complaint is a print on a magnetic surface is smeared when I rotate my iPhone.
