Excellant Docking Station
I needed a docking station for my iPads. I use the griffin cases for the iPad mini and iPad air. This docking station allows the use of their own case. Plenty of room between each row for the thicker cases/covers. I image my iPads through a Mac book air and this docking station allows to image all 10 at the same time. I also picked up the Lightning Data Transfer Cable adapters for the charging station which work perfectly.

Stop working. Power was dead.
It worked well for a little over 2 years. Suddenly, it stop charging iPads. I reviewed the internal fuse and it was fine. We called the Customer Support line and they processed a call back since the SME was not available. We called a second time an has the same response. I ended up purchasing another cabinet from a different brand. If you are expecting this product to last linger and receive customer support, do not purchase this one.

Look Good, Works Well
We are using two of these in our K-2 school. I had been buying the stations from Bretford, but we recently had such a bad experience with Bretford that I will NEVER purchase from them again (and I currently have 16 iPad stations and 4 carts from Bretford). Anyway, I have been looking for a good alternative that also has some style. The Griffin Multidock may just be it.We have been using the Griffin for almost two months and so far, so good. The only drawback is the cord spaghetti that is created. Griffin needs to work on that part of the design. I know I can buy shorter cords, but I have a 5 port Griffin Multidock at home with the same issue. We haven't found lightweight cables that work great. I see that Griffin makes some, I will try them. However, as I said, Griffin could design the station differently.Besides cord ugliness, it does look good and so far works well. My teachers like them and they are not as noisy as the Bretford stations. If we still like them at the end of the year, I'll be purchasing 6-10 more this summer.

Not reliable as USB sync hub. OK as a charging station
Initially bought 4 of these. Three linked in one location and the fourth as a standalone at another location. Had to return one straight out of the box because it refused to charge on individual ports and the hub function did not work. The standalone just lost all usb connectivity out of the blue. Still charging though. Should have taken the DOA one as a warning. Now I'm worried about the other 3 dropping dead.

It does what it says, so I can't give it less than 4 stars. Pros: It can hold iPads even with bulky Griffin Survivor cases. Fairly rugged, with ability to bolt to a table for additional security. Fast charging for up to 10 iPads. Status lights on the front. Cons: Need to buy 6" cables. Careful, a 6" overall cable is too short. Need one with 6" of wire PLUS the two end connectors. Longer cables cause a rat's nest of wires that get caught in the door. Plastic base section separated in shipping on 2 devices we bought, had to carefully but sharply pound them back into place, risking breakage. Wireless signal will NOT penetrate a closed cabinet.

Lost power after two years.
As mentioned in other reviews there is a fault with it losing power after some time. Checked fuse which was still good. $700 piece of equipment should last longer than a little over 2 years.

Great item, though it costs more than the devices it is charging/protecting. Don't know that I would buy again due to this. I guess if I were housing iPads in there it would be worth it. but for <$100 Android devices the cost just isn't worth it. It is almost cheaper to just replace the missing/stolen devices.
