Brilliant if you NEED the silent aspect
I wanted a new black fan to match my case and I’ve used Silent Wings 2 before so I ordered this fan as a payday treat. I actually thought I’d ordered the high speed version but it the the standard speed fan. Due to having no patience I still installed the fan rather than replacing it. So far I’m still really impressed.I wanted this specifically as an exhaust fan. I spent hours and hours researching the air flow, air pressure and noise of most of the fans on Amazon. It has got to the point where I have nothing I can realistically (in terms of sensible cost) upgrade so I might as well have the right fans in the right places. The result of my research was that this isn’t the best fan for the job but it is black. Which, in hindsight, should probably have been my starting point. The fan arrived in fancy packaging with several attachments. Installing it was easy as any fan. The black screws are a really nice touch. In terms of performance it moves a fair bit of air and at full speed you just can’t hear it. I’m giving this 5 stars as it delivers on the performance and silence it promises whilst being a premium fan. However, for my use it was a mistake to buy. As the quietest fan in the case I won’t get the benefit from it unless I change all my fans to these. There are plenty of cheaper case fans that move the same amount of air and are only slightly louder.Next time I’ll go with Silent Wings 2 again for half the price and slightly more noise that I won’t notice. That or Noctua P12 redux 1700 again which has better airflow, better air pressure and still very quiet. If only it was black!

Great option for noise-conscious builders
These fans have a unique ported design and pleasing look to them. They provide good static pressure as intakes and heatsink fans and run very quiet up to 800RPM such that you won't notice them unless you really pay attention.I run 3 of them in my system, and when properly controlled via software (Corsair iCue & Commander Pro) they provide silent operation at idle to medium loads, and acceptable noise levels at higher loads. The noise audible at such a load level is a non-intrusive gentle whooshing of air, with no mechanical noise audible. This may change over time as wear and tear occurs inside the bearings.I would suggest not bothering with the high speed variant their moniker of "silence" is kind of gone above 1200ish RPM. I know that no fans are truly silent, but at the lower end of the range from 300-800 RPM if you value quiet operation these provide a noticeable improvement from cheaper fans.I could not find it mentioned anywhere by Be Quiet, but the fans offer "Zero RPM" operation, namely they will turn off completely below a certain PWM level for true silence. The fans come with all the fittings you need to mount them to your case and have interchangeable corners to fit either screws or rubber anti-vibration mounts with plastic push pins. Stupidly easy to install... just line up the holes and push the plastic pins in. The cable length is also very generous so managing the cables is easy. When using Noctua's in the past I have always had to use extensions to really get them routed the way I want.Be aware that if you want to mount them to a heatsink like I did with one of mine, you will need to purchase fan clips separately if you do not already have them.

Highly powerful low-noise fans
These fans saved my PC, which was prone to accumulating heat internally and which the single exhaust fan couldn't cope with. I bought two of these and installed them on the top of the chassis as a vertical twin exhaust. I also made certain they were connected to a high powered PWM fan header, so I could control their speed based on CPU temperature.I've set things up so that they run at around 40% speed until the CPU gets to 50C, at which point they ramp up to 70% up to 70C, and then to 100% by 75C. I've applied the same fan curve to the CPU cooler, so that they're in lockstep. This seems to work VERY well, and I've yet to see temperatures actually require maximum speed from them. Although only 120mm, the high speed delivers great power, and they shift enough air at lower, quieter speeds, to make the higher RPMs much less likely.I'd not hesitate to make Be Quiet! my brand of choice.

Bootplatte/Windows Samsung 870 EVO SATA III 2,5 Zoll SSD, 1 TBSpeicher/Ablageplatte WD 8TB WD8003FRYZ Gold SA3M2 Slot 1: Samsung 980 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD, 2 TBM2 Slot 2: Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD, 1 TBBisher Läuft alles Top keine Probleme.

Truly impressive, and quiet.
To start off, I usually don't review products. If I do, it usually means I am highly impressed or was a total lemon. In this case it is a total positive.First let me start off, my gameplan was to build system with reasonable power, for video encoding, photo rendering, and game play on occasion. The other factors I considered of mine was heat build up, noise and power consumption.I ended up with an AMD build, which honestly can build a fair amount of heat. With this in mind I bought Coolermaster HAF XB EVO for airflow. While an impressive case, the two front 120mm case fans, were incredibly loud with no PWM. Now getting to review of this product be Quiet Silent Wings 3 120MM, I bought these 2 fans after a lot of research and debate. Skimming through reviews, many posted about the quietness of these fans. It was between this and Noctua fans. While Noctua are quiet fans too, I have to give be Quiet! their credit. These are incredibly silent fans. Almost to the point I can't even tell they are on if it wasn't for me looking into the case to see the fans spinning(idle and surfing net, as well as photo editing). And they are miles above the Coolermaster stock fans in the HAF case. Really no comparison. The only time I heard these fans spin up was when I literally pushed my machine by running video editing/encoding. My AMD Ryzen 3700 was utilizing all its cores at 85%. To be honest, while was more of hum and swish of air with the be Quiet! fans at that utilization, they were still quieter than any fan in the past that I have used. Also I think most of the noise I heard coming from my system was from videocard fans and a Noctua 120mm fan I bought for the back chasis(I bought this cause be Quiet! was out of stock at the time). It is quiet but be Quiet! beats it very squarely. As for temps, well that was a big factor for me too. I like a very cool PC. I am also using a Be Quiet Dark 4 CPU fan. But my temps in my case average around CPU 33C/CPU Package temp 47C at idle and surfing net. With it under heavy load, it stays CPU 50C/CPU Package 61C. While the case fans are not necessarily the main factor for these temps. They contribute overall. They are way more efficient and stable and overall make a noticeable difference than my last chasis fans. My temps would fluctuate more and be closer to 70C(CPU package) and that was under high speed and loudness with the Coolermaster fans. These fans are much more quieter and keep the temp much more stable and lower overall inside the case. So I can attest to their efficient temp control as well. They are well designed and I like that they are black compared to the Noctua brand.
