Product Description Children's animated feature from Disney Pixar featuring the voice talents of John Goodman and Billy Crystal. Sulley (voiced by Goodman) and sidekick Mike (Crystal) are the top scaring team on the job at an energy firm where their task is to keep Monstropolis ticking over, running it on the power generated by children screaming. Believing children are toxic, dangerous creatures who must be kept out of Monstropolis at all costs, Mike and Sulley are terrified when they realise that a little girl called 'Boo' (Mary Gibbs) has followed them back through a door. Slowly they realise that little Boo isn't actually dangerous at all and uncover a sinister plot that exists behind the company's happy facade, involving creepy arch-rival scarer Randall (Steve Buscemi). desertcart.co.uk Review It’s hard to pinpoint just which part of the Monsters Inc high definition presentation will blow you away the most. Will it be the gorgeous colours that flash before your eyes? Will it be the picking up of even the most minute details? Or will it, as we suspect, be the fur on the creatures that inhabit the world of Monsters Inc, most specifically the big blue monster himself, Sulley? Pixar films, as you might expect, have been exceptionally well served by the Blu-ray format, and you can chalk Monsters Inc up as a raging success, too. This is genuinely reference quality visual and audio material that you get here, with few films coming close to the quality Pixar has served up. It helps too that the film is a firm family favourite, as the main duo of Sulley and Mike go from the day to day of their job collecting screams from children to a changing of their approach, courtesy of an encounter with a small girl who they inevitably warm to. Among the many highlights to watch out for, check out the frenetic denouement, with the abundance of different doors flying before your eyes. Monsters Inc was and remains one of the best family films of the past few years. And this Blu-ray release is the perfect way to appreciate it, with the level of detail and jaw-dropping spectacle that we almost take for granted now that Pixar will deliver. Better than I remembered
My wife and I recently visited Walt Disney World and during a haloween party we spotted some of the Monsters Inc characters out dancing at one of the dance parties and it got us talking about the film, having not watched Monsters Inc in a few years I didn't have the best memories of the film and remembered it being fairly good so when we returned from the holiday we purchased the film and I got a chance to see it again after a number of years and I must say that it was so much better than I ever remembered it being. The film has a great story and entire world created that just feels real and believable which draws you into the film and thanks to the amazing animation and voice acting you find yourself having a real affection for the characters. This is a film I know will now have pride of place and one I will be watching quite a few times in the future.

Brilliant film....
I absolutely love this film, not as much as Finding Nemo admittedly, but it's my 2nd fave Pixar film. My favourite scenes are where Sulley thinks Boo has gone through the machine and keeps fainting (tears of laughter there) and at the end where he goes back to visit her when she's older (real tears then!). It's just a wonderful film, laugh out loud funny and very moving by turns, the baddies get their comeuppance in the end (as they should), Mike finally sees that all kids are not evil, and Roz, well she's the boss! Billy Crystal and John Goodman were the perfect pairing for the main characters voices, and I really liked the extras at the end. Well done Pixar.

Mindblowing image quality on blu-ray
Having seen the film more times than I care to admit (mainly with the excuse of watching with my kids) the time came to introduce my 3 yr old to it, he had been missing out due to a scratched DVD - this time I bought blu-ray and was immediately stunned by how much better the picture was - Pixar's superior artwork lends itself to blu-ray very well indeed - if you know the film it's worth the upgrade and if you don't know the film then you are in for a royal treat with perhaps the funniest animated character ever created, Mike Wazowksi voiced by Billy Crystal is pure genius.

Composition : Boitier contenant 2 disques blu ray, le film et le second des bonus Aspect cosmétique: Boite en plastique bleue très quelconque. Disques propres et sans poussiere. Chargement plutot long ceci en comparaison à d'autres BR qui eux se chargent vite. Disney est pénible en imposant leurs pubs au lancement du disque... Aspects techniques. Vidéo :Disque en Blu ray 2K. Visualisé sur un TV OLED 56" HDR et lecteur OPPO 4K HDR et ampli Yamaha RX A3050 l'image est belle, détaillée, bonne résolution et définition. Pas de bruit, l'image est fluide, pas de figeage. Ce n'est pas anormal bien au contraire c'est de l'image de synthèse. Son: La bande son est en français DTS ES 5.1, excellente , il y a du DTS HD master audio 5.1 en anglais. Voix bien lisible sur la voie centrale. Espace sonore bien rempli, bonne spatialisation, Excellente dynamique, bon niveau pas besoin de pousser l'ampli dans ses derniers retranchements. Point de vue artistique: Excellent scénario, et très bonne intrigue, histoire vraiment peu banale aux nombreux gags ! Nombreux personnages, monstres (à faire palir Star wars et Mr Spielberg) droles, tendres, attendrissants et même des méchants. Trés beau graphisme et dessins. Bonus très quelconques. Globalement un magnifique et génial film, drole, plein d'humour et d'émotion pour les plus grands et les plus petits (pas trop petit tous de même), plaisir à partager en famille. Moi, j'adore...

One of my all-time favorite animated movies. I can watch this any number of times and I'll still fell a lump in my throat at the end. It's one of the few animated movies that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Adult or kids, everyone will fall in love with that movie and the main characters, specially Mick. Again the script is well written and it will touch you. emotionally. Need to see.

Mit dieser limitierten Steelbook-Ausgabe wird ein & derselbe Inhalt bereits zum 4. Mal in neuem Gewand verkauft! Die vorangegangenen 2-Disc-Editionen ( Die Monster AG - Deluxe Edition (2 DVDs) [Deluxe Edition ], Die Monster AG (Best of Special Collection, Steelbook) [Special Edition] [2 DVDs ], Die Monster AG (3D-Pop-Up-Box) [2 DVDs ]) stimmen mit dieser inhaltlich inkl. Bonusmaterial exakt überein. Wer böses denkt, könnte nun meinen, dass Disney-Pixar dies aus rein aus finanziellen Gründen so handhabt, in der Hoffnung, dass Kunden sich dieselbe Ausgabe des öfteren kaufen... Wer das Ganze aber positiv sieht, könnte meinen, dass Disney-Pixar ständig auf der Suche nach einer noch schöneren Verpackung ist! Und in diesem Fall hätten sie damit sogar voll ins Schwarze getroffen: Das Steelbook mit Sulleys grinsendem Kopf auf dem Cover ist von allen 4 bisher erschienen Special-Editions die mit Abstand schönste/coolste/edelste. Das FSK-Logo ist nur aufgeklebt & kann problemlos abgelöst werden. Und dass das Bonusmaterial nicht erneuert/erweitert wurde, mag ich Disney-Pixar auch nicht wirklich vorwerfen, da dieses ja schon beim ersten Mal wirklich sehr umfangreich, sehr interessant & lustig war & dies auch immer noch ist: So gibt's z.B. die Kurzfilme "Mikes neues Auto" & "Der Vogelschreck" (oscarprämiert!), Trailer & TV-Spots, Gags vom Dreh, eine "Pixar - Die Spaß-Fabrik"-Tour, einen Rundgang durch die "Monster AG", 2 Spiele ("Ponkickies-21-Spiel" & "Buhs Türen-Spiel") sowie noch viele weitere Featurettes. Was bleibt, ist eine absolute Kaufempfehlung für alle Fans des Films, welche noch keine der 3 oben genannten Ausgaben ihr Eigen nennen & nicht zwingend eine Blu-ray benötigen!

Very good movie. I always wonder from where Disney gets all these ideas. Whoever at Disney gets these ideas are awesome. Even more awesome is Disney being able to make it an enjoyable movie out of every unique thoughts that are presented to them. My son and I enjoyed this movie 100%. Will recommend this movie to all kids and adults!
