Boss ME-20B Bass Multiple Effects Pedal Board

I love this product because not only you can you use it on a bass guitar but you can also you use on a normal electric guitar and it didn't take long for me to figure out how to use it but you need a good strong stomp to activate the wah pedal. I recommend it for people who want to start to experiment with effects and for people that are already professional.

Didn't like it, was therefore returned. Call me daft but I found it far too 'awkward' to use and the 2 segment display is more than out of date. The feedback given to the user regarding current setting is dated. It was a little like a digital watch from the 1980's.

If you play bass this thing will give you all the sounds you might require. Well built and pretty sturdy. It will run on batteries by I advise a mains power supply.

Great piece of kit, I've bought a number of different effects boxes and this one is the best for my needs so far, ticks all the boxes, very pleased.

Hello and welcome to my first review: FOREWARNING: I didn't buy this product from amazon but i do own the product itself and since no one has reviewed it i thought i shall do that :D When it comes effects this baby does it all, it turned my regular bass into something else. Its quite fun and easy to use once you get the hang of it. FULL BY PASS on this as well much i must say doesnt live up to anything else for me atm. Come's with its own Turner which blew away the Qtuner i was using at the time. Mix and match your favorite tones and effects with the built in patch maker, save it and its yours forever! Even the presets sound great on their own, you can adjust them to your own taste with a flick of the switch ( or button knob as the case is ) The reason i rated this product 4/5 is because of one reason.... The synth effects do not live up to expectation, however that been said i shall give you a tip: Use a plectrum while playing with the synth effects and strike hard, if your like me and hate using a plectrum your kinda stuck with it, since the effect doesnt work well ( if at all ) with your fingers. My ME 20b didnt come with a Manuel so i went online to the boss website and got one from there, from what i remember they dont show how to activate the wah wah pedal. So I will tell you how you do that, press your foot on the volume pedal and push it all the way down then press alittle harder and you will see the light comes on for the wah wah pedal. You can adjust the pressure you have to put on the pedal to activate the wah wah but im not sure how you do that. All in all great product a must buy... I might do a video of some of the effect later on when i get a web cam WATCH THIS SPACE!

this is the worst processor I have ever spent money on. manual is next to useless, no useable sounds, and no sound at all in bypass mode. I wish I had never sold my ME 80B...

I had a mini-tour in a different country and I wanted to travel light. I left my pedal board at home and bought the ME-20B because of its size. As for the sonic quality it is excellent and I expect nothing less from Roland. I was able to program 10 different settings, that were wildly different, and made it sound like I brought 4 different basses with me, it was that dramatic. Getting there was another story. In manual mode it wasn't difficult to discover the various potentials of the effects in combination. Writing and saving patches was another story. The manual is poorly written, it lets this fine product down. After a few baffling weeks I developed my own understanding and I was confident I could change patches on the fly in program mode. I'm glad I started early learning the ins and outs otherwise there would have been dramas once I got on the road. In performance my fellow musicians and sound people were loving the sounds, so it was very worthwhile to go through the trouble it took to tame the beast.

Well built. I use it mainly for volume pedal and tuner. Stereo out is useful too. Most of the effects do not sound as good as a stomp box would so do not rely on it to replace a whole pedalboard. Balanced out would have been nice, too.. On the bright side, tuner works well. Just tuner, volume pedal and 2 outs makes it worth to carry around. Find a patch that you will like and that will be a bonus.
