Forgiving of corrections during installation.
I have a bad place in the silicone countertop to backsplash seal behind my kitchen sink. I plan to use this product to fix it, somewhat temporarily, until we can get a project going on rebuilding our kitchen cabinets. Its' 27yrs. since the last rebuild...about time. This material looks pretty easy to apply, and will last long enough for us to be ready to replace the whole shebang in the next few months. I appreciate reading that some other reviewers had positive experiences using it in places somewhat like ours.I like a couple of things about this product...it dries slowly and mistakes are easily corrected on the run. It comes with a very effective looking tool for installation (kind of cute. It even has little fake screw heads, I guess to build up confidence). I will follow up with another review if I find anything helpful.

A little hard to work with
This is very flexible adhesive trim which has its pluses and minuses. It comes with corner/end pieces that in theory seem great but the corner pieces require a 90° angled space and my tub has wide curve at the corners so ended up not using those.I made sure to clean the area well and used rubbing alcohol after to wipe any remaining residue then let dry before putting this on. This comes with a 2 ended roller to aid in the trim getting into corners and edges and that did help some. This is very flexible so it’s tricky not to stretch it (directions state to avoid that) and still get a smooth finish so this took some time to get all into place. It can be pulled up and adjusted which I was thankful for. After all was done it seems to be adhered well.So far it’s held in place and has withstood many showers so time will tell how this does in the long run. This will not adhere over silicone so be sure to fully remove that if it was used prior. This can be a nice trim if you’re willing to be patient when installing.

This works...I'm just not sure it's better than calking.
I thought this would be perfect for a section between a countertop and my drywall. The space was a bit awkward to get to because it was underneath the slab of countertop that makes up the "breakfast bar". Although it looks better than it did before, it's a bit more "wavy" than I would prefer. When I calk something like this I just use the straight edge of the space I'm calking to help guide my edge and keep things looking flat and smooth. This wasn't really possible to do with this 10 ft long piece of trim. This might work better if you have something you are setting this on (near the floor or on top of your counter) rather than underneath like I was trying. I'm also now about 5 inches short, so do I buy another strip of this or do I just add some calk and try to blend it in? The only person that is going to see that is me and maybe a toddler walking around looking at things from the floor...so I'll probably just calk the rest and be done with it.Regarding the directions, they suggest pulling off the backing and attaching by pushing first every 3-4 inches, then going back over and pushing in every 1-2 inches. Finally finishing it off with the tool they provide. I found when I was doing this underneath the counter that the piece fell off and collected my dogs hair when it hit the ground. I wish I would have pushed this down by the section, only revealing the "glue" when I was ready to install it by pushing followed by a roll of the tool. I think that would have helped me keep this a bit more straight. I also had a little bulge in one spot that left a weird looking spot, and I don't think this would have happened if I had done this by pushing everything down every 1-2 feet instead of trying to tack it up the whole length of the 10 ft piece of trim.

So far, so good
I have ignored needed repairs in my shop for years.. Recently I had trouble with plumbing under the sink and finally decided to caulk the whole area. This is about the time I found this caulk strip and I thought it would save some headaches. It did. There is a center strip of caulk between adhesive strips and all you do is stretch it out over the areas that need caulk, push down with finger or thumb, and run the caulking tool over the strip. I used the convex side of the tool first to force the caulk in the crack, the concave side to press the sides down. It made a tight seal and now just have to watch that it holds. Looks nice, it's in my shop so nothing is really "nice", but this tape is nice and straight and working.

Doesn’t stick
We read all the review and took all the tips, and still. Didn’t last two hours. Waste of money! Run!

Not as expected
Very disappointed. The unpainted white strip is very easy to soil and stain. I had to paint it to cover the marks. Also this strip is a little wider and is a lot more flimsy/thinner than the smaller gray that I had also purchase. I wasn’t able to get the lumps out of the edges even when I used a blow dryer to heat it. The best thing about this product is that it does stick well and you have 24 hours before it sets so if you need to reposition it you can

Clean looking installation
Overall this works fairly well. The installation went pretty well but there were a couple of limitations when using it for my tub surround. There are some raised areas on my surround that the trim couldn't form perfectly around as you can see in the pictures. I like that the kit comes with plastic end pieces and corner pieces to help make a neater install. Unfortunately, the corner pieces will only work on a sharp 90 degree corner and my tub surround has radius bend corners so the best I could do was to just bend the trim into the corner without using the corner adaptors. It did take quite a bit longer to install compared with running a bead of caulking around the tub. Mainly because the instructions stated several times that 100% of all the silicone caulking had to be removed which took time. My hope is that this will last longer than caulking. It does have neater looking lines compared with caulking. You'll have to decide for yourself whether the extra cost is worth it.

This is amazing!
This will work perfectly for around my toilets. Easy to apply with tool included. Well made and will look much better & easier to unplug than caulk. Arrived quickly! Great product & great seller!
