I don't use it the way it is pictured. My heel stops at the first slope where in the picture the calf is placed. If you have Neuropathy the heel will need to be freely placed and this slope provides that. No one wants to be so confined with a pillow right up to the top of their thigh to sleep comfortably which is why I use it this way and it is absolutely perfect. A little bit of the pillow does hang off the bed, but if you have long legs you will then be able to use the entire pillow. So if your legs are long or short the pillow will work for you. Then for added comfort, I take a soft thinner pillow just under my legs as a transition between the bed and the FootSmart Leg Elevator Pillow to eliminate any stress points for the legs. This item keeps it's shape, is good quality, comes with a zippered pillow covering, and is just the right texture to help your legs and feet feel better than they have for a very long time. Do not hesitate to make this purchase you will not regret it. Just one more thing, if you do have Neuropathy you may realize that your feet are sensitive to fabric texture. The covering on this pillow provides a layer of special covering for added comfort. You can also add a warm fuzzy type blanket or even a plush beach towel to provide that added effect if you wanted to save wear and tear to the pillow covering that comes with the FootSmart Leg Elevator Pillow. If mine ever wears out I will most definitely be buying another one. ### ⭐⭐⭐ so it must be better suited to people taller than that *by A***S on June 17, 2016* The leg elevator arrived in a timely matter and was well constructed. Please note though; that it seemed too short for me and my legs where not supported correctly. I am about 5'6", so it must be better suited to people taller than that. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best idea for sad/hurting legs, just didn't work quite for me *by G***E on August 6, 2015* I found this product and was more excited because it had the legs on a slop completely versus the slop and then flat top surface. My feet hurt so bad and I need to have this slope. This ALMOST worked for me. I don't know if it was my height, or other lengths, but the part for your calfs - my calfs did NOT rest on the pillow - there was space between that pillow and my leg. This was not very comfortable. I did try it for a night and it just didn't feel quite good for me. I am trying out other products and hope to find one that works for me, soon. This may be perfect for others, so give it a go.
