3034D Electric Sewing Machine

I read the specs and reviews over and over until I was word-blind and eventually settled on this model. When I looked at the sophistication of the mechanics of the thing (compared to my basic Pfaff sewing machine) I was amazed that they are are not much more expensive. I have never had an overlocker before and I seriously wonder why, what a stunning difference it makes. The machine comes threaded but not with thread to use. I pulled the thread out. Yes, I know what you're thinking but you have to know how to do it, what better way to learn than slowly with the book while you're being patient with your new toy. It was a valid time investment when on day 2 a thread broke and it wasn't the disaster it might otherwise have been. This overlocker does exactly what you hope it will, it does it efficiently, provides professional results and is very fast. I have no criticisms of it at all and would just observe that it would have been nice to have had the same added feet as were included in the lower model. The tray to catch bits is an essential unless you want to be covered in fluff and thread.

I had a Brother Overlocker for 25yrs.....I loved that machine, it was smooth running, consistently good stitching, sturdy machine. Sadly it eventually needed replacing and I had no hesitation in buying another Brother....but oh how the quality has dropped. It is clunky, stuttery, noisy and generally just no where near as good as previous brother machine. I have had it 2 years now, so have given it a fair chance, but I am now upgrading to another brand of machine. Oh how I miss the quality and precision of my original Brother machine.

Best £239 I've spent for years amazing machine. Arrived very quickly ready threaded. Comes with book and DVD I can set it up in all the stitching modes easily, the DVD is briliant, I need to see it not just read and follow illustrations. Dose an amazing job and you can play about with the tension ect as much as you like as the original is marked on so you can go back to square one any time you like. I can not belive how good it is

Have wanted one for ages ...read reviews and was hoping that I had made the right choice. I have never used an overlocker before but do have a sewing machine. Really is a lovely product, DVD very informative, as you can pause at any bits you are unsure of. Full threading instructions given and after finding the point I had missed... first chains madeand after a few exciting hours practice on various types of materials - bridesmaid alterations now done ready for the wedding in two weeks. Highly recommended!

This is my first overlocker, so can't really say if its better than any others on the market, but I absolutely love it. Really pleased I bought it, and makes all my sewing projects look much neater. I've been sewing for about 2 years now (so would probably class myself as an 'advanced beginner') and managed to get the hang of this within about 30 minutes. The threading process does seem a bit complicated, and the first time can be a bit hard to follow, but after that its actually pretty straight forward and all the lines are all colour coded. Managed to thread mine first time with no problems. The machine itself is fairly compact and no louder than a normal sewing machine when in use. It comes with a trim trap with is very handy, and a few other bits like a dust cover, etc. My sewing machine is the Brother LS14 and I'm able to use the same power cord for both that machine and this overlocker, which at least saves a bit of plug space and means I can easily switch between machine while working on a project.

At first I thought it was great but it is a bit clunky compared to other machines and I’ve had trouble with it. Now I’ve been told it’s going to cost about £100 to put it right. For some reason the needle broke which damaged the plate. I’ve only had it for 18 months and haven’t used it much. Anyway, I’ve decided it’s not worth it and I’ll be upgrading to something stronger.

Only had one day to try this out so far. Having owned an overlocker for many years I decided to upgrade to one that can do hemming and rolled edges. I think it will take a while to get the hang of the differential feed but I am sure it will give me many years of service. The thread tree seems a bit flimsy but the rest seems well made.

Eine super Maschine, sie läuft bei mir seit drei Jahren ohne irgendwelche Probleme. Das Einfädeln ist super simpel. Man kann verschiedene Stoffe sehr gut mit ihr nähen. Jersey, Fleece, Baumwolle, Sweat und aus Kunstleder sind geeignet. Auch mehre Lagen bereiten ihr kein Problem. Ich nähe mindestens dreimal die Woche und bisher gibt es keinerlei Verschweiß. Ich würde sie mir sofort wieder kaufen Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung, das Geld lohnt sich!!!

Très facile à utiliser. Enfilage facile et bien expliqué.

Un emballage sans aucune défaillance et une livraison plus rapide que prévu. Contrairement aux différents avis, j'ai reçu ma machine avec une prise française. Je n'ai donc pas eu à acheter un adaptateur. L'enfilage est déjà en place, il ne restait plus qu'à enfiler les bobines et à maitriser la machine. Un très bon achat.

wunderbar diese Overlock von Brother!Ich hatte zuerst eine andere günstigere gekauft,,zwar mit sehr guter Bewertung,aber sie entsprach überhaupt nicht meiner Erwartung.Am wichtigsten war mir unter anderem der Abfallbehälter ,darauf sollte man unbedingt achten,denn der Schneideabfall macht soviel Unmut wenn er einfach so runterfällt,dass man echt sauer wird,weil man nun doppelte Arbeit mit reinigen hat.Sie läuft ruhig ,das Tempo stimmt ,einfach zu bedienen!Ansonsten bin ich einfach glücklich mit meiner neuen Overlock.Absolut empfehlenswert!!!!!

Hab mich wahnsinnig über dieses " Schnäppchen " gefreut. Versand zügig. Allerdings aus der Beschreibung nicht ersichtlich, die overlock kommt nur mit englischem Stecker.. Also für mich in Deutschland so nicht zu nutzen.. Werde mir jetzt also bei brother ein zusätzliches Pedal bzw Kabel bestellen müssen. Zur Funktion kann ich natürlich noch nichts sagen.. Also erstmal nur 2Sterne!
