Compact 110 dB Water Alarm w/360° Sensing Technology (BW-WA360)

We bought one of these on a whim and ended up returning to buy more. When we purchased our current home in the fall of 2023 it needed quite a bit of TLC and updating, including a basement clean-up from recurring water issues. One day, while doing laundry, one of our sump pumps failed and 3/4 of our basement had standing water. The plumber found that not only the laundry sump pump had failed, but the other sump pump in the basement recently had as well (it was used for the downspouts and we hadn't had any rain for weeks). After replacing those pumps (one with a battery back-up unit), we knew we needed something else to give us peace of mind. After some research, we found the Basement Watchdog. It was affordable, not super complicated, and easy to "install" (it's small and nicely compact so all you have to do is install the battery and set where you want it and you're all set). We tested it and were impressed by how loud the alarm is. Months later, with no excitement in the basement, we are on the main floor of our house and hear this piercing, consistent alarm noise. We realized it was the Watchdog. Going downstairs, we found the slop sink by the laundry leaking water out of the bottom (the washer drained into the sink). The pipe underneath had cracked when we disconnected it to be able to move the sink and paint the basement walls/floors with DryLok waterproofing and we didn't know until we ran that first wash cycle. There was just a small amount of water accumulated on the floor and the alarm went off. We will install these at all our homes in the future. They are light and compact, efficient, and give us considerable peace of mind. No wifi required either. I'm unsure if there are other units that do offer that additional connectivity, but we're happy at minimum to have that layer of protection.

Easy battery installation and unit is very loud. This is a very good alarm and a good price.

Made purchase for water heater and under my stairs where water lines are to alert when there is water. Seems to work as intended. Alarm is loud enough to get your attention. Very easy to use! Will trigger with minimal amount of water.

I have used Watchdog for years. This design has a screw where you insert the battery. All of my others had the slide cap. The screw was VERY difficult to remove. I prefer the slide door.

It tested great. Like a coffin, Its one of those things that you buy,but hope that you never have to use. Easy set up. Just put in a 9vBattery. NOT INCLUDED, and put it in the location and hope to never hear it alert.

This water alarm has small standoff features, so you can place it in metal pans and on a bathroom floors without false alarms due to freshly washed floors or fog/moisture after taking a shower. Installing a battery (not included) requires a screwdriver, but the battery compartment is waterproof and the alarm will continue to sound even when fully immersed. The alarm is very loud, piercing sound similar to a smoke detector, and will sound for as long as there is water. The moment you clear water, the alarm silences. There is no delay, the alarm triggers as soon as there is water. I think the "360" means you can place it in any direction, so there is no issue that someone tips it over - still works in any position. There is no "ON" switch, it works as soon as you install the battery. Cool design and unlike anything else out there.

All pet parents..these are great to warn u of accidents. I've got big dogs and cats and there's accidents.
