I bought this and the other popular design sold on Amazon. This one cost a little more, but the magnet was almost 20% stronger. Both worked flawlessly. I ended up keeping this one and gave the other to a friend. As a hobby machinist, these things make chip cleanup effortless.

Very strong magnet will stick to machinery when removing machine shop milllings and drillings. Not a bad thing, just the way it works. The unit is very well made and very functional. I also ordered the 30" unit as much of my clean-up is the floor under workbenches. Very pleased!

How have I not heard of this before? This thing is awesome! I use it around my chop saw, drill press, grinding areas and anywhere I work where I make a mess when fabricating. Just wave the magic wand to clean up your metal mess anywhere in your shop. This makes cleanup quick ad easy. I run it along frame rails after drilling holes to collect the chips and curlies. Once done or it's full just pull the plunger and it dumps and cleans itself. No more metal splinters. Highly recommended.

I've used all sorts of tools to cut and shape metal. this is by far the most useful tool I own. It cuts cleanly without the flaming spark shower of an abrasive cutting tool. Good investment. I had to reconfigure the locking handle on the material clamp. As shipped, its bolt and washer configuration made it so the handle fell off with a quarter turn... very few threads were engaging on the bolt.

Why didn't somebody invent this decades ago? If you do any metal work, you need one or more of these.

I have metal shavings EVERYWHERE. I am grinding in my garage and there is metal on everything. This is so helpful. Very strong magnet and easy to remove the metal it attracts with the plunger. I think I will buy the bigger one later because this one is great.

We operate a small machine shop. Ferrous chips are a constant annoyance, they don't sweep up easily. This tool make quick work of all ferrous chips even in hard to reach places. Glad I purchased it.

Wish I’d bought one years ago. Much easier to pick up swarf when I’m drilling or cutting outside over a gravel surface. Just wave the wand around and it picks up big stuff and bits you can’t easily see. Hold it over the bin, release the magnet, and the metal just drops off.
