No. It relies on heat transfer to generate the power to operate the fan.

I have an inset wood burner with a front space of 10 cm top space , will this sit on that space

If you mean you have 10 cm height clearance, no it won't. It's much taller than that. The base will sit on that amount of room, as the base itself is only about 6x10cm. If you're thinking of sitting the fan at the front of the burner it won't work anyway, as the heat difference will be much reduced. The back of the burner is the best place to situate the fan
