Medieval Replicas Solid Brass Proportional Divider 9 in with Nice Hardwood Box

I use these for proportional sketching as a base for my paintings. Perfect. Chunky, quality item with a cool antique feel so it's an enjoyable tool to engage with and use. The brass adjuster knob doesn't slip like other cheap ones do but maintains its position really well. I love the wooden box they come in too. All handcrafted in India... for the price it's ridiculous really ... we're lucky to be able to engage the services of such skilled people at these prices. I'd say it's worth double that at least. Get yourself a pair!

Beautiful brass divider tool with hardwood case. Solid build - holds position and points for accuracy for art purposes. Also has has scales for circles, lines, plans and solids (not planning on using them though), Very impressive piece of hardware. Will use for art and drawing.

I am an artist and purchased this for drawing portraits. It cost me 29.99 and is absolutly amazing for what i need it for. It is not 100% accurate but it is near enough for what i want it for. There are no instructions but there is awsesome portrait video by Carrie Stuart Parks that shows you how to use it for portraits. Her videos and books are worth buying anyway.So it is not perfect but it saved me about 130 dollars and does the job i need it forThank you!

This a a great little gadget for measuring when you’re drawing something by hand. The box it comes in is beautiful. However, it’s a little hard to open the box. It works very well for measuring but there were no instructions on how to use it so I had to figure it out myself. Not hard to figure out for basics but not sure I’m utilizing it to the max. Overall, the tool is great and holds in place as you set it. Improvements would be the latch on the box, instructions, and smaller price point.
