To connect the unit to your pc/laptop you are provided with a usb lead which plugs into the back of the box, the other end goes to your pc/laptop and connects to a usb socket on that. The pc/laptop provides 5v power to the box which is sufficient. The unit works, but the software is a bit flaky. I do miss using my Windows 7 pc where I had a TBS card installed, lovely piece of kit. This would be too if you can navigate the software. **Q: Is it compatible with Mac** A: I would be surprised if it did! The TBS website explicitly states that there is support for Windows and Linux - but Mac is conspicuous by its absence. No good for motorized satellite due to the above This can be used with a motorized,if you use an existing stb,which has LNB out put,however the stb would have to be on the Satellite/Frequency that you are looking for It seems blind scan is available for other cards(mainly pci) but not for this model.A bad Error on TBS part.
