The Warriors Imprint Standard Edition (2 Disc) Directors & Theatrical Cuts

It's an oldish film but one that I can watch over and over again. Some of my type of music in it as well. I've even got the soundtrack on vinyl.

walter hill's best film - great service

Great film.

Class, brilliant film

Thw Warriors is a cult classic. Directed by walter hill (48 hrs) The film tells the tale of a new york street gang who have travelled to the bronx for a big meeting of all the new york street gangs,when cyrus the leader of the biggest gang in new york is killed at the meeting..the finger is pointed at the warriors by the real assailant of the killing and the warriors have to try and make it back to their turf (coney island)and bop their way back through all the different gang turfs avoiding being killed by the various gangs or captured by the police.The blu ray comes in the shape of the directors cut of the film. This cut caused controversy a few yrs back when it was released, as the director has gone back and structured comic book type monatages in places to emulate more of a comic book feel to the film,as he says in the documentary..the film was never suppose to represent real life and the new comic style overlays have left a lot of fans hacked off. It certainly doesnt harm the film,though neither does it improve it..if i had my own choice i would have taken the original vut over this one but it's still good nonetheless.The blu ray transfer for the movie is easily one of the best for a catalogue title i've seen. You wouldnt believe this film was nearly 30 yrs old!! A lot of the movie is set at night and we all know that daylight scenes show up HD the best on most occasions,but the clarity and depth in the night scenes is equal to the day scenes..great stuff.If you havent sent he warriors yet then you've so far missed a treat..couple with a great HD Transfer this is a great blu ray and with such a chaep price this should be a no brainer!

Just an old-time classic what a brilliant film.Got it on CD wanted to download it to tablet to watch on holidays. 😃

I had this on dvd but lost it, it’s one of my favourite films !! So I had to have it

Absolutely great film. Had this on video, then dvd and bought the Blu-ray when it was on offer.

Worth the cost

My dad bought a copy of the Anabasis for me right when this movie came out but I’m not sure he knew this movie about gangs was the same story…my dad was a cop and he didn’t take me as it has the same vibe as Halloween. Isn’t it ironic when someone buys their kid a transliterated copy of the same story everyone is talking about in Junior High?
