Definitely waterproof, used it to keep our key fob dry while scuba diving and it did that part perfectly (we tied the box to the surface marker buoy we towed along with us). However, after 5 days of diving in saltwater and rinsing daily with fresh water, the hinges have already started to rust. It still opens and closes—for now. Not sure how much longer it will last. They should have used a good quality grade stainless steel.

This waterproof box is a perfect fit for my solar powered power bank device. The charge cables and instructions also fit easily. It's waterproof, and the clear top cover allows the device to charge in daylight.
