Like a Dragon: Ishin! (PlayStation 5)

The game shifts away from the mainline Yakuza stories featuring Kiryu into a fictional story loosely inspired about the Shinsengumi with all Yakuza characters from our beloved franchise. I was really impressed with the free combat from the older Yakuza game as I hate the way its now become turn based. The story is great, with compelling dialogue and interesting sub stories in a new area and era. The charm of the game comes from its grind to get better gear, as you are playing as a swordsman there is a lot you can do to get better and more cooler weapons for your ultimate build. Amazon came in super clutch with the next day delivery - If your a hardcore Yakuza fan you MUST try this.

Being a fan of the Yakuza (Now known as, Like A Dragon) series, I just had to play this. Set in old Japan, the game combines what we love and know from the Yakuza series with a much older setting, that somehow feels as good as the modern setting from mainstream games. It has great combat, a fun and powerful story aswell as the typical humour found in all Yakuza games. Love it.

The game play is fun, exciting and definitely imaginative. Just as you think you’ve figured it put the game play a new mechanic is added which helps to enhance the game play. Fighting as a samurai and having insane fights is enjoyable.

A nice remake of the original Ishin. With the cast from older games, it was a familiar yet enjoyable experience. Ishin is packed with content and is worth the purchase.

I'm a massive fan of the Yakuza series, and so I bought this on the preorder. I have also played the Japanese version of ishin and thus had high expectations, upon watching the first few trailers my expectations were lessened but having played the game now (and going for platinum) I can say this game is amazing, and fully lives up to the Yakuza/ like a dragon name. It alters the usual mechanics and formula slightly to make it more engaging but keeps the same old charm as the others, whilst making the gameplay and combat mechanics different but enjoyable. Must buy for any fan of the series.

Starts off slow but it gets straight into the action after like 4 acts but the story is also brilliant the characters are all good it's a game worth getting at £19.

If you like games that have brilliant story telling you will love this game. Along with every other game in the Yakuza/like a dragon series. A recommendation from me
