Great workout
I personally LOVE this!! Combined with regular exercise at the gym and a good diet, this game can really help you to tone up. As a 'stand alone' fitness workout (without the gym), it works really well too. I'm not convinced by the calorie estimations, I think they are a little optimistic..... the music could be better...... and it is a little annoying when you know you are throwing the required punches correctly but they don't always register, but the game is more than worth it. Believe me, if you are not working up a sweat whilst doing the more advanced shape boxing routines then you are not doing it properly!!I love the fact that you can use both remotes rather than a remote and a nunchuck...... gives you much more freedom to move... as I have being using this game for well over a year, I now wear my ankle and wrist weights whilst boxing to add to the challange add help me improve my muscle strength. If you are looking for a easy to follow but rewarding boxing game for the wii.... this is the one for you :-)

Great work out!
Ok, first and foremost....the Good bits:This game is just amazing if you either want to have fun or be a bit more intense about exercise. believe me, it will give you a very thorough and gruelling work out and is easily comparable to anything that you can do in a sterile and soulless ''gym'' environment. You WILL work up a sweat, and you WILL melt away the pounds and inches if you stick at it. I use this as a routine part of my exercise schedule and is every bit as important as riding my bike and power walking. The game has basic, but functional ' cute' graphics, a very cartoony and fun feel to it, is easy to navigate and, though inaccurate, keeps a count of the calories you burn ( a Heart rate monitor shows significant difference to the wii's numbers). The game as pleasing sound, too, but the graphics and the sound effects are secondary to what this game is really about. People say that you can make the punches by sitting on a sofa and flicking your wrists..that maybe so, but by doing that you really are defeating the reason for owning this title. It is compatible with the god awful wii 'balance board'' ( why the hell anyone would own that useless wii bit of marketing is beyond me), and also the nanchuck, but for best results, you should use 2 wiimotes. The bad:Ok, you swing punches and make the moves...but the wii recognition system is SIMPLY HORRIBLE. you can calibrate, re-caliberate and calibrate until the cows come home, but accurate registry of the punches just does NOT happen when attempting combinations that are quiet sophisticated. That said, you will physically still perform the move, and for all intents and purposes, 'do the required ' effort to pull off the punch but the wii's inability to register your movements means it impacts your score and can be very off putting.this won't affect the physical exercise and we will never know if the wii really is hopeless in registering movements properly or if the software is sloppy.(actually, the wii is pretty dreadful at recognising movement, no 2 ways about it, but sloppy software would only compound the situation and make it worse)but never the less, if you want to get fit...get this game!! you wont regret it if you play it in the spirit of getting fit but the failure of the wii to register certain punches is extremely off-putting to put it mildly.Break yourself into this gently..your arms and muscles will ACHE!!if you want cute graphics, then get mario galaxy or something.

Love it!
As a wheelchair user there are few workouts I can do.My Mum & Sister bought me a wii for Christmas and Wii sports/resorts as we thought Id be able to do this at my own pace and way, which it has. This disc is far more personal as you have to put in your details, height & weight. After putting in all your details and choosing your instructer, it then walks you through a daily coaching and workout. After completing your daily workout you punch your calender, which is a great way to show when you made the effort and when you didn`t! lol.I personally love it. I have two brothers that boxed and for me it`s ideal as I can do it and I never get bored with boxing, plus I feel I have actually worked out!

Great exercise - Mainly Boxing though.
I got this as an alternative to my Wii fit plus and Exerbeat games. I have left a previous review for the original "my fitness coach" which I did not enjoy at all. The My fitness coach-cardio workout is much better as you can do the exercise in a smaller space and don't need a lounge the size of a Gym. The main exercise is boxing but I really enjoyed the boxercise on the Exerbeat game so I was happy. The exercises are great if you want to loose weight. You can start of as a beginner and the exercises are not too tricky or full on to start with. The instructor is a bit annoying and seems to say "ready" every 5 seconds. I got round this annoyance by switching the music (terrible but slightly less annoying than her "ready") up which means her volume goes down! I really like this game and for someone who is trying to get fitter, I would recommend it. If you are already fit, it may not pose much of a challenge.

Excellent Game!
This is one of the best Wii fitness games I have played. It is nicely designed and laid out, it escalates the workouts adequately and gives you plenty of rewards. I have really noticed a difference. Combine it with an all body workout if you want to get a leg and core workout but this is a great game to set up and follow through, just a shame they didn't add to it with downloadable add-ons or extra novelty games but once you build on the basics using the ducking and stepping, it gets really challenging!

Feel the burn!
Ok so I know nothing about boxing, but it feels right. You can select different length workouts and it is great for beginners as it has tutorials for all the moves. I've only had it a week and have played on it 5 days. This is definitely the best console fitness game available. I've tried quiet a few others and I've giving up with them after a couple days. I've just ordered the dance version as well and I hope its as good.
