It does the job
The wiring was a bit confusing but it was a perfect fit and it works well. Just follow the included instructions and you’ll be fine, except I think the CW and CCW were also mixed up but thanks to YouTube I got it figured out.

Good Generator but check your plug!
In the end this generator worked fine on my 4x2 Turf Gator. However after replacing everything in the charging system I still ending up taking the Gator in for repair. The issue ended up being the white plug on the generator. Even though it seems to fit the plug on the Gator perfectly it actually was not making contact on the inside so the plug was cut off and replaced with disconnects. So before you send it back...CHECK YOUR PLUG! Also your old pulley will probably need to be moved to the new generator since it is a good bit smaller than the one that comes on this but that is not a big deal. Impact wrench worked well to remove the old one.

Starter Yamaha golf cart.
This is a ‘generac’ rebuild, the first one I received was defective and tried to contact seller but to no avail. Amazon came to the rescue and issued a return (no cost) and a replacement that arrived within 24 hrs. The replacement started out with a few problems. First, it was rotating the wrong way and the fix was to reverse polarity-that worked but it was not charging the 12v battery in my Yamaha 2015 golf cart. With some research on line it was a common problem the needed two additional wires switched. That worked and so far so good but the seller was not helpful.

It only worked for two days. Not sure if it was new or a rebuilt

Don't do it
Put 2 of these new on my golf cart. Both were not able to spin thru compression stroke. You're not saving any mo ey here. Buy OEM

Works as a replacement for part #JN6-H1100-04-00 but the wiring is all backwards.
On the OEM unit the short wire was connected from F1 to A2, and the red controller wire was connected to F2 and the Black Earth was connected to A1. This unit came like the diagram shows with the short wire connected from F1 to A-1, if you put back your controller and Earth wire the same as it originally was the motor runs the wrong way (actually, regardless of the way you hook up the controller and Earth wire the unit will run backwards unless you swap short wire) you have to switch the short wire to the same configuration of the OEM... You have to swap your controller and Earth wires to the way the diagram shows or the unit won't generate. I know it sounds confusing but if the starter turn the engine over the wrong way just swap the connector of the short wire on the back of the unit, once you get it turning the right way and it starts if the units not charging then swap your red controller wire and black ground wire. Then you got the plug-in connector with the red and green wires, this connector will not plug into your wiring harness. You can cut the connector off your old unit and splice it on to this one or cut both connectors off and splice red wire to red wire and green wire to green wire but I found if you take a razor blade and scrape off the two little tabs on the bottom of the wiring harness connector then flipped the connectors upside down so green matches up with green and red matches up with red they will connect even if it doesn't snap together. If you're confused there is a little tab you have to press down to unlock the two halves of the connectors, what you do after scraping off the two little pieces on the bottom side that is supposed to fit in the grooves you turn it so the Locking tab and were it locks into are on opposite sides. I really don't know a good way to explain it other than to tell you which wires connected where that got mine working and let you figure it out from there. Short wire on the unit from f1 to a2, red wire on the cart to A-1 on the unit, black wire on the cart to F2 on the unit, small red wire two small red wire and small green wire two small green wire. Once the wiring was figured out the unit works well and is much cheaper than OEM but if you are not good at figuring this sort of thing out then I would not suggest buying it.
