Broken: Mending and repair in a throwaway world

It is a beautiful book with wonderful descriptions of the artists who believe in repairing .

This book just arrived two days ago. It’s gorgeous, and I can’t stop brushing my hand over the cover, which has a soft and smooth feel. I’ve read some, but the first thing I did was just flip through the pages and see what drew me in. The large print quotes, the incredible pictures of artists doing their work as well as close ups of their pieces and tools, and this morning a few of the stories. Maybe it’s because this topic is close to my heart, maybe it’s because it’s so obvious that the authors heart is fully in this book, maybe both. The print and layout are so pleasing to the eye. There’s something about this book- I’m totally and willingly pulled in, and the whole thing just makes me settle in and breathe a big, deep sigh. I’m so glad I bought this book.Bravo, Ms. Treggiden! Very informative/ interesting for anyone interested in The over saturated world of throw away fashion.
