Just What You Need
This is a well-manufactured product and is easy to fit, by way of a straight replacement for a standard part 1 ball-cock assembly. Mine was dripping despite my fitting a new rubber pad, so it was the valve seating that had gone. You can buy a repair kit and dismantle the old valve in-situ and fit a new valve seating, seal and rubber pad but that assumes that your old retaining nut hasn’t seized; it also assumes that you have easy access to it! My advice is to buy a new assembly and just uncouple the water connector on the outside of the tank. You can then easily remove the nylon nuts that hold the ball-cock assembly and fit the new one. You could service the old one very easily, using a repair kit, if you want to have a ball-cock up and ready for fitting in a few years’ time; otherwise just chuck the old one away. Finally I should say that I don’t understand why some reviewers have said that this valve is noisier than average. I don’t think it is; anyway, if it is for your header-tank then that should have a lid and it will normally be in your loft. I can’t hear mine at all!

Easy to use and came quickly
No issues looks good but not fitted yet , so time will tell if it’s a okay long term.

Does the Job.
After a new water/heating system was installed our loo water changed from very low pressure from tank to VERY high pressure from the main and the existing valve gave up trying to stop it. This did the job perfectly in controlling the water but a couple of minuses.I needed to bend the arm vey slightly. A common requirement when fitting these. A very small sideways pressure on the ball resulted in the thread shearing. Maybe I should have tried to hold the rod, not the ball, but it's not the first time I have had to do this and never had a problem before. Fortunately I was able to get the thread stud out of the ball and there was just enough thread left to refit.Second problem was that with our high pressure this was very noisy. Enough to wake you up at night if partner used the loo. It would have been nice if it had the provision of a down pipe to take the water to the bottom of the cistern but we got in the habit of shutting the loo door before flushing. I talk in the past tense as we have now fitted a complete new bathroom/toilet with a new loo and cistern. The valve on that fills up just as fast but is very quiet. If you remember to take care bending the arm and can't find an option with a filler downpipe this is a good product which does the job required.

Does exactly what you need it to, easy fitting
Needed a new float valve for the tank in the loft, as the valve wasn't shutting off correctly, this however was so simple that I the old one took longer to remove.Removed the old one, took one of the plastic lock rings off attached fitted and then fitted the water feed back and tested and it worked straight away. Quality of the item seems good.Overall very happy with this purchase as its still the filling of the tank with the excess water going down the over flow.

The brass float is of very good quality, unfortunately I could not find a float ...
The brass float is of very good quality, unfortunately I could not find a float that fits the end. I need a float that is flattened or square in shape. The float I already have is smaller in diameter than the screw size of the brass valve.
