Useful for latenight screen time.
It isn't elegant, but good to use as a replacement at night. Flicker free is the best. But seems to be more bright than expected. If masking is an option, it would make a great product for mid segment purchase.

Got it today
So I got this today and in one day only Got delivery. Initially it made me feel like those bulb which we use to see in childhood in our houses and I didn't like it but gradually in half an hour or so I started liking the overall Vibe of the room. The brightness is is like not too low not too much but it is like close to too much. Yeah it's close to too much. So yeah you can see the picture attached to understand it better. I am thinking about doing some diy over it to make it too enhance its soothing style and brightness

Brings back the goodness of Edison/ Tungsten bulb
I have always admired the good old tungsten bulb for the quality of its smooth, non-glaring light. People who have grown up under the harsh light of led bulbs will never be able to appreciate the quality of light given by the good old Edison bulb. However these bulbs come in 60 watts and 100 watts and considering the cost of electricity are almost impossible to use these days. These led bulbs from philips came as a pleasant surprise! The quality of light produced by these is almost like the tungsten bulb - that too at a consumption of just 9 watts! These bulbs are almost as non glaring and soothing to the eyes as the good old tungsten bulb of my childhood and I have finally found an led bulb to my liking. I would recommend students to use this particular bulb for studying, it will be good for the eyes. One out of the two bulbs I received was broken on arrival. Since they are made of glass, Amazon should ensure more protection to the package. Have requested for a replacement.
