I love the color and size however when the bottle is fully sealed and is standing up straight it drips water from the top making a mess all around and makes it hard to move around with. I would not recommend buying it.

This water bottle was supposed to have a built in chip to relay to an app on your phone to monitor your liquid intake habits. Unfortunately, this did not work, do it was just a very large water bottle without any other bells or whistles for a very high price. I bought this for my kids, and it was much larger than I expected. That part was my fault though as I did not do my research. For $60 I would expect I could wash it in dishwasher, but it says not to, so that was disappointing. I only tried it one time with water before realizing the water app did not work, and in that one time it did not leak when I tested it (by tipping it over so if it leaked). Otherwise it was too big for a kids hands, and not useful for me as it wouldn't fit well in a cupholder. I ended up getting water bottles for a third of the price in the correct size and I'm much happier with them.

Honestly, I have been taking this bottle everywhere with me ever since I bought it in October 2023. It is sturdy, I dropped it many times, but it never bent or cracked. Unfortunately, my lower score is due to its major design flaws, especially considering its high price. The plastic part of the bottle that can be unscrewed is not handy for many users as it means you cannot fill the bottle fully, so all it does is leak and gather grime along the ridges. The same goes for the plastic cap - grime all over the edges only after a few days of use. Mind you, I clean my bottle frequently and I drink only water from it, but you still have to clean it every other day. The resulting smell and taste of the grime became very apparent to me when I drank from my girlfriend's HydroFlask. The water from her bottle was actually delicious but from my Ocean Bottle it tasted stale and somewhat revolting. She then did the same comparison and confirmed the difference in taste. To the Ocean Bottle company, please consider using stainless steel in the cap and the rest of the bottle. The top plastic part that can be unscrewed is not useful as it diminishes the amount of liquid. It also does leak when you shake the bottle or turn it to its side. A few drops of water is not so bad, but imagine if you have some other liquid there and it leaks in your backpack... Basically, the idea itself is great, but the design itself should be refined to turn this product into a great one. Today, my girlfriend gifted me a HydroFlask so I am going to throw away my Ocean Bottle. It did serve me for over two years of daily albeit flawed use.

For fans of contact sports or intense active boot camp like sessions… when 500ml is just a sip…this is where an ocean bottle comes in handy….. Sure there are 1 litre bottles out there half the price….but bet their marketing strategy ain’t as good 😌

I love this bottle, I hate hand washing my water bottles as I feel there is always a feel of it still not being clean after, with this I can pop it in the dishwasher & go about my day. The fact it is eco friendly is an added bonus. Definitely worth the money spent
