Soil Sifter 12" (1/4”Mesh Screen)-Sieve for Sand Rocks Dirt Compost

This works great to sift chunks and rocks etc. out of soil. Not too big; not too small. Just right and should last a very long time.

Quarter inch mesh the perfect size to sift wood pellets with a lot of dust in them. The thing is well built, holds a good load so no complaints here that's for sure.

I was pleasantly surprised at the good quality of this sifter. I have an approximately 1/4 acre garden and grow most of my starter plants. Due to the poor quality of the potting mixes something had to be done. This medium strength sifter does an excellent job removing sticks, wood bark, oversize perlite, etc. This results in a very satisfactory potting mix. I would purchase again.

Our soil in the NE is more rock than dirt. Separating out all the rocks, bugs, roots, and leaves is a must if you're going to plant anything. This sieve is lightweight and has a small screen, so it makes that part as easy as it get. I left off a star because the bottom ridge doesn't fit over (or inside) the 5-gallon buckets I use to capture the dirt. Just makes it a bit harder to work with. Otherwise, it's a go-to tool.

My wife sifts stones with it. I sift wood pellets for pellet grill.

This sifter works really well. It seems very sturdy when I use it and its depth and mesh size are just perfect for me to sift my potting soil for planting. Very happy with this purchase.
