The best book on the whole branding process there is.
There are great books on strategy. There are great books on design and branding. But there's never been one book for both. Until now. This book is a must for anyone (at any level) working in the field of brand identities. Be that agency side or client side.It successfully demystifies the branding (or rebranding) process from start to finish. Eschewing marketing speak in favour of plain English - it's a joy to read. Fantastic examples from all over the world are used to illustrate points, along with some honest anecdotes covering the highs and lows of rebranding massive corporations. In short - this book is a future classic. Add it to your brand bookshelf asap.

One of the best books of branding I luckily have found in my way
It summarises information from a lot of recognised branding books and it exemplifies all the theory through very relevant and clear cases of study. I just completed a Master in Branding and I really wish I had discovered this book before. It also go through the different stages of design, bridging strategy with design which, for me, is brilliant. I think that if you are interested on the branding field, this is a must!

Brandwagonesque
Is that a value or a behaviour? Branding demystified for newbies and essential further reading for those with skin in the game. Perfect for a fledgling business getting on the brand wagon or for an established business in preparation for a rebrand. Don't be put off by the 310pp tome; it's an easy read with plenty of examples and, as you'd expect from Michael Johnson, an engaging layout.

A brilliant branding guide
This is a great book by one of the best designers around. It's not at all pretentious and jargon free. It's packed of useful examples which makes it a great source of inspiration as well as an excellent branding guide.

Fantastic Demystification of Branding Jargon
I've read a lot on this subject and I'm also a branding practitioner. Michaels's book may, at first, seem slightly light some the more seasoned brand strategists/designers but in my opinion, there is still a lot to be learned from it's no BS simplicity. The key questions to ask one's clients, make a lot of sense and cut through in a world of Venn diagrams and frameworks like a breath of fresh strategic air. It's also one of the only books that tackle the overlap between strategy and design.

Great for novices and old hands
I bought this after attending a fantastic 1-day creative branding course with Michael Johnson. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a demystified, b******t-free guide to branding that traverses the strategic and the visual brilliantly.
