B5 Composition is Great!
I feel like it is important for us to state the make and model in our reviews here, because Amazon tends to, understandably, lump all products of a certain type into the same review pool. If you buy books here, then you know what I mean. A little nugget to consider, future reviewers.I bought the black hardcover, B5 Composition version, Ruled….and it is absolutely gorgeous! Bound with a solid board/material, yet light and pleasant to heft. The pages feel amazing, and I love that they are numbered. The gsm is just right for me. It opens up to a contents page, so you can keep track of important passages, or perhaps chapters if you are using this to long form a book with pen and paper. Comes with stickers for the spine and cover, should you choose to label your notebook. I dig that, because I fully intend to. There is a return if lost page you can fill out, but my writing is deeply personal…I will not use that, because if I lose it there is nobody to blame but me. Ribbon equipped, because that is pretty standard for a notebook of quality. I still prefer bookmarks. Ribbons stay in the back. To each their own.I write to myself, and for my children. I am not an aspiring novelist. I have no designs on becoming a published author. I buy notebooks of quality because composition books are 50-80 cents a pop on sale. Cheap blanks have a frivolous nature to them.I buy premium as a motivation to pen my absolute best. I am not a wealthy man. Sitting at a desk in deep thought with this tonight, and I just had to sing it’s praises in a review after a writing break. Worth every penny. These pages are my legacy, for what it is worth. My Dad died young and I knew little about him personally. I journal, write short stories, and do little projects for my children. I put my soul on paper for them. Life is short. If I die in ten years, then they will have as complete a portrait of who I was and what I stood for as possible. It’s gotta be on high quality paper. Warts and all.I used to use Moleskine, but there is something off about them in recent years. Seems like the gsm is thinning, and the quality is waning a bit. I gotta give it up to LEUCHTTERM1917. They check all my boxes for quality and comfort.Yo, Neil Gaiman uses them. Brought me here from Moleskine. Sometimes an endorsement from a beloved imagination can drive you to other options. Happy I took this fork in the road.Write, read, and do it all for love! Love of the process, love of family, love of the craft. We may not be intellectually superior juggernauts spinning yarns that will span the ages!! But love penned on paper with purpose and meaning…that is something special. Do it on some special paper. If you are reading this, then I imagine you are with me on some wavelength. You are looking for a blank slate that reflects the quality of your thoughts.Very happy with this purchase. I also bought some sharpie felt tip 0.4 with this. I have always liked felt tip. I love the scrape of it on paper. I also bought some Zebra ball, G-Gel, and more. Some like ball, gel, felt, etc. Buy a gaggle of pen types to try. It is fun to play with different pens on new paper. I dig my Sharpie no-bleed felts. We all have our thing.

Probably the best notebook I ever had
Recently, I started writing again and I just wanted to keep a good notebook around to capture ideas and notes about projects I'm working on. I had a moleskine for that, which is nice but it wasn't quite working for me.I needed something a little bigger, and it was hard to keep track of things. If I took notes on one project, and then notes on others, then wanted to go back to the first one I'd have to dig around for it. With the page numbers and table of contents it makes it easy to jump from one project to another. Also this notebook feels better made and sturdier compared to a moleskine. I also like the paper quality. Some reviews said the paper is too thin, and I suppose it is depending on the pens you use (I tend to use Pilot g2's and occasionally a Pilot disposable fountain pen) and how hard you write. So I highly recommend this notebook if you're a writer, or need something fancy around.

Excellent notebook
This is the perfect size for a mathematics working notebook. It can fit on most desks, including smaller classroom desks at a university. There is minimal to no bleed between pages, and the hardback is sturdy enough to withstand a battering of daily use. The stickers for the spine and the table of contents in the front work well for archiving.

SUPER CUTE but…
I got the sunshiny yellow color and I really love the look of it. It’s sleek and feels nice. I wish there was a an option to get one with more pages. And I also wish the paper was thicker.Journal with pilot, G2 pens, and while they don’t bleed through to the other side, they are very visible from the backside of the paper, and I like to write on both sides of my paper. It’s super cute. I’m not sure if I would buy it again.

Best journals
I love this brand and always purchase hard covers. I used to keep a bullet journal regularly and used an A5 dotted journal. About a year ago I wanted to try a bigger size and bought a huge leuchtturm journal, I forgot exactly what size, but it was way too big and I never used it. I took a break from bullet journaling and used a regular planner for a while but I just ordered this journal and it seems like it will be a good size for me to start again so I’m excited to use it

Great Journaling Book
I enjoy journaling on a daily basis and this hardcover text is great. I like the size and the quality of paper is very good. I journal with gel ink and pencil, both write smoothly. When I fill this journal, I’ll purchase this again.

EXCELLENT NOTEBOOK
I've written 20 books and when it doesn't come out on my screen, I turn to a notebook and this one was recommended by my pal the mystery writer Tom Straw and it is excellent with the pens I use. Great notebook.

Excellent in Every Way
The Leuchtturm 1917 in B5 is the perfect size for my studio journal. I like the size and the generous number of pages. I don't feel like a Sasquatch trying to write on a postage stamp, but like the delicate, though aged, flower that I am. The pagination and dedicated index helps me to use the bujo method to create collections and string my collections in the indices so that I can keep track of the location of entries without creating any wasted space. I also like that I can string across volumes over time. The dot matrix is clear enough to see while I'm working without being distracting. The paper is a good weight and takes the inks I use without bleeding for the most part. In combination with a DIY concertina sketchbook to hold limited palette studies I am very happy with this set up. This particular item is the hardcover B5 but I also have the soft cover versions, as well as the A5 version.
