Best cat door ever!
Minus being a little pricey for what it is I do love them. I bought two and have them in my bedroom and office so nice to be able to close my door yet the cats can still come and go. FYI most doors that are hollow core you will need to build a little frame for these but if you have a solid core door you will be fine!

Great product, cat approved
Takes some time/work to set up, but directions and video explain everything well. Final installation looks and works great! We installed two. Our cat loves using them and it allows her to come and go at night without needing to scratch at the door to wake us up. I recommend you take your time during the install process, measure twice cut once to avoid a botched door

Love Having my Door Closed at Night!
I love having this in my bedroom door! I have to sleep with my bedroom door open but I couldn't until I got this corner. Now I can have my door closed and the cats can still come and go without waking me up. It's great! Unfortunately, I put the hinge on backwards so that I have to push down to disengage the lock, but I have a big gap under the door, so it still works. I guess I just didn't understand the diagram well enough. The best part is I can shut them out if I need to!I took the door off to make it easier to cut the door. If I do this again, I will definitely get help removing and installing the door! It's too hard for just one person!

I love it. My cats love it. Solved all our problems. Probably the best cat door in existence.
The media could not be loaded. We wanted a classy option to allow our cats in & our of our bedroom where there food is kept. Most of the options we saw were cheesy or tackey. Until I found this!Passage: Both of my cats fit easily through the passageway. One of them is a little on the heavy side, but he has no problems. Plus, I didn't have to teach them to push a flap with their noses. Very large cats might squeeze through just a little. However, that could be easily solved by adjusting where the original cut is made. The open flap is supported by velcro (provided) & although I'm not a fan, it works well. Cutting a larger portion of the door shouldn't have an effect on the hinge, but you might need to fasten the open flap with more than 1 square of velcro.Sound: My mother in law lives with us & enjoys watching TV late at night, very loudly, in the living room next to our bedroom. When closed, this keeps the sound barrier as if there's no cat door at all. Plus I don't have to hear a plastic flap swinging everytime they come & go.Installation: Easy project for someone with minimal skills. Getting the screws perfectly flush with the hinge is hugely important for functionality. I was very nervous (mainly because I cut the top of my first door by mistake & had to buy another door) but the YouTube video & written instructions were enough to successfully guide me. Also, the hinge has multiple screw holes to chose from, so you don't have to worry about what the internal configuration of your door looks like. One of the combinations of options is bound to work for you. The seam is visible while the flap is closed on the outside, but I suspect a bit of white paint will make it almost invisible.Sturdiness: Considering I have the hinge supported by only 4 screws (they provided 6 & I could have chose to use all of them) I'm very happy with it. We don't have kids that will be pulling on it or slamming the door. There's no reason it won't last for years.IMPORTANT: I have a solid-core door. I don't know if this will work with a hollow door. Also, when installing the flap portion of the door you must alight the top/edge cuts. Do not center the flap to the raw edge of the door. Upper edge of the door should align with the upper edge of the flapDon't forget to use a spacer while marking holes for the flap. You have to account for the hinge itself & you can't mark your holes while the flap is sitting flat on the door. All of that was shown in the video, but not stated out loud.Overall, I could not have made a very choice. I'm thrilled.

Great idea, hinges not locking in place
When I saw these I thought this would be the perfect solution to having our bedroom door open at night. I watched all of the videos and followed the instructions exactly. I will say that I’m a pretty seasoned DIYer for home improvements. So I dove in and cut my bedroom and laundry room doors. The install was pretty simple, but a few things to note:1. Watch the video: using tape under the guide was helpful in keeping a clean cut.2. I had hollow doors, but it still fit. However, the screws were a bit too long and came out the other side of the cut piece.3. The locking hinge is supposed to keep it open, but that only locked in place on 1 of my 2 installed. Even then it wasn’t strong enough.4. The Velcro isn’t really thick enough to hold the cut piece in place if the locking hinge doesn’t work. After all of that, I had already cut the doors and installed them, so I was determined to make them work. Some Command Strips attached to some strong magnets was my solution. I figure I’ll be keeping it in the open position most of the time anyway.

Not as easy as they say
If you purchase this, also buy some longer wood screws, piece of 2x4 lumber, wood epoxy, and have a table saw or access to one. And C-clamps. Cut the corner. Cut down the width of a piece of 2x4 to fit into the hollow door. Epoxy the wood piece into place on both the door side and corner side. Attach C-clamps. Let dry. Screw hinge carefully on the corner side and door side or you won't get the corner to latch. Overall, too complicated and too many extra tools and pieces are needed. I've installed 3 so far. One turned out okay, two were borderline. Averaged about 2 hours on each door. Let the epoxy have time to dry.
