Yellow and white RCA plugs are reversed !!!
Just received this. I bought it for transferring old Hi8 video to my PC. It's a good thing that I am technical. It took a lot of time to get it to work ! It is working well now, but here is a word of caution for all - I was getting no video or audio on the PC. I tried the recording program that came with it. Nothing.Then I tried my PoweDirector 17. Nothing.I said to myself - "I wonder if these idiots swapped input colors". Sure enough, the yellow and white RCA inputs were transposed. After I swapped them, I got video and sound. That is basic quality control failure !!!

Software problem
After two trying...TRYING days, I gave up. Capture window would not display; could not edit. Used differing connections, cables, etc., to no avail. Perusing through the myriad of capture devices, one can only conclude that this whole realm of technology is hit or miss. (If the reviews have any validity) Gave two stars as the product appeared to be of good, sturdy quality, but...the font size...(1.5...maybe!) is miniscule at best. IF you get or have this, there is a pdf manual on the mini-disc...PRINT IT!!!.
