Hard for kids.
Bought it for a child and the videos are too fast to follow, at least, for beginners.

Great instructions for a beginner
I love the video instructions. They have been very helpful. Did not include lock washers for eyes which would be nice for small kids. Yarn sometimes splits easily.

Not for beginners and cheap materials
The yarn is just to thin to do anything with and splits apart way to easily. I would like a refund because I spent way to much on something I can’t even use and will have to buy my own yarn in order to do these patterns

Not beginner, but fun kits! Videos are critical, because written instructions are tricky.
kdafio 3 Pcs DIY Crochet Animal Kit, Fox Plush Doll, Elephant Plush Doll, Dinosauria Plush Doll,Clear Easy to Follow Instructions for Starter Includes Enough Yarn Hook Accessories--I need to emphasize that my rating includes the videos, which crochet the entire project in real time and clear up any questions in the not-great written instructions. Pattern writing conventions can vary dramatically, but an experienced crocheter will probably be able to suss out these written instructions enough to replicate the pattern (I figured them out before I watched a video), but the videos will answer any questions you have. The written instructions will probably be completely inscrutable to a beginner, however, as they conventions and abbreviations are very different than the typical US ones. So I'm giving 5 start for value and pattern with the videos, which are a key component to success. Without the videos, I'd deduct a star.--These designs are super cute, and if you're an experienced crocheter, you'll be able to puzzle out the instructions with common sense and looking at the pictures. The conventions, abbreviations and phrasing are very different from US English instructions, but if you're at ease in crochet, you'll figure it out. The chart does list round number and the total stitches per round, which even with the unfamiliar conventions, will help you keep your bearings. And the videos will answer any remaining questions you have. The videos go stitch by stitch, and make the entire project (albeit a bit different order than the written instructions), so if you're inclined, you can crochet along with the video in real time. (Note: the QR code for the fox went to a dead page, but I found the fox by following the QR code from the dinosaur, then scrolling down their video page until I found the fox). And there were some nice little techniques in the videos--I never knew the magic ring technique, and it's a neat trick! (I learned to crochet 40-odd. years ago, so this might be something everyone does these days, but it was new to me!)The loose plied yarn is prone to splitting, but it's a nice soft yarn that is a pleasing choice in the finished product. I had plenty of yarn for the project, and I like that the stuffing is included (vacuum packed). In fact, everything you need is included--the hook, stitch markers, applied eyes, and a yarn needle, as well as the yarn and stuffing. Each project is packed in a heavy gauge ziplock bag, good for storage in your bag while you're working on each project. While I did enjoy these kits, overall, I would say these kits are not really suitable for beginners--absolutely not without the videos. But with the videos. I think a very patient, motivated beginner could figure it out watching the videos on a reasonably large screen, because they do literally make it start to finish on video. But for your average beginner, these would be rather overwhelming. Aside from the syntax, there are some more advanced techniques (color changes, etc.), and the soft plied yarn is a little tricky to work with, prone to splitting, and the tiny hook size and dense work (which is important for keeping stuffing hidden) can be challenging for beginners as well.

Great for begging
As a beginner it was easy to follow the pattern and the video tutorial, the yarn is not the best quality but it works!
