I used to work in the bar industry for over 15 years, I've made countless orders of Moscow Mules and I always wanted a set of mugs my own. Unfortunately there was some press as of late that raised concern for the copper used in the mugs and how it could potentially leak into the liquid. This news deterred me from looking to buy a set any further. Then, by pure chance, I stumbled across the Mulenir Mugs in an advertisement and to my surprise they had mentioned the article above in their description page and the alternative they used to combat the issue at hand. "PERFECT", I thought! That was enough for me to make the purchase, it's nice to see a company go out of the way to make sure their products are safe and user friendly. When the mugs arrived I was in shock to see the super sleek packaging it arrived in as well. They did a great job on the look, logo and presentation of the product. (The backstory in the insert is pretty clever as well, I like the play on words "don't get hammered" hammered cups, but don't drink to much.. pretty funny) If I had my own bar, it'd be stocked up with these things! I'm going to be honest, I'm not much of an alcohol drinker but I do enjoy a nice lemonade or ice tea almost as much as I enjoy the look of copper mugs. I had a set of 4 Copper Moscow Mule mugs from a different seller on Amazon but after seeing a report on the Today Show about copper cups being a health concern if directly in contact with the liquid, I decided to dump them.I was bummed but I found these mugs from Mulenir that are stainless steel lined and completely safe. I ordered a couple at first to test the quality, but I immediately purchased another 6 once they arrived. First, the cups themselves are beautiful and actually looked better than my other copper mugs. They also came in much nicer packaging and overall just feels more premium. The icing on the cake for me is that I'm a huge Marvel fan and if you are too, you'd know that Thor's hammer is called Mulenir.

I hate to give this product 4 stars. The mugs are very nice, pretty, and well made. Love the stainless steel interior and the mug, like other reviews have said, fits nicely in your hand. My only problem was that I bought this as a Christmas gift, and the box the mugs came in wasn’t sealed, and is torn to shreds. Had to be more than just shipping damage because it came in a nice, undamaged, bubble-wrapped bag. Just a little embarrassing to gift the box, but whatever. Again, the actual product is very nice!

The mugs came in a black box (not sealed) inside a puffy package/envelope. They looked very nice and were just as described: copper outside with a stainless steel lining. They have a nice weight and feel to them. (Now for the silly part. I wanted them for the first time I tried a Moscow Mule. I had seen this drink on Better Call Saul and wanted to try it.) :)

The mugs seemed well made, and I like the fact that they are lined. They came in a sturdy black box with the company logo on it; however, the recipe booklet mentioned in the description was not included. This was very disappointing because i purchased it as a gift so the recipient could make mules at home. Also, although each mug was sealed in plastic, the interior of the box could have been made more "gift-like" with some tissue or paper liners to fill up the box. It looked as if the mugs were just tossed in the gift box and then into the shipping box.

I wanted to get a set of stainless lined copper mugs after drinking some copper residue I missed in my regular mugs (if there's any crap on the inside, lime is one of the things that will remove it...you know, that key ingredient in a mule). I don't like the idea of copper poisoning and it became a hassle to scrub them thoroughly each time before use, so I set off to find stainless! It was a bonus to have the logo associates with my favorite God of Thunder (Lord of Thunder to some).

Ordered these because the reviews were good and Amazon recommended... they did not disappoint. At $10 a piece, these stainless steel lined hammered copper exterior cups are quite striking in appearance. I ended up ordering the stainless steel lined cups due to the negative information about copper reacting with acidic liquids - such as lime juice - which is one of the main ingredients in Moscow Mules. Just Google it if you’re interested in learning more, but for me, the beauty of the hammered copper exteriors combined with the safety and practicality of the stainless steel lining is a winning combination.

These mugs are attractive, light, easy to hold. They kept my Moscow Mule ice-cold. I can foresee using them for all kinds of drinks - sparkling water, pina coladas, etc. They were shipped in a really nice box. However, the recipe "book" was a huge disappointment. It's just a folded slip of paper with only four uninspired recipes on it.
