Bees wax,a great little tool to help thread needles. I also use it to stiffen the thread when I want to give a soft toy whiskers.

It's not pure beeswax, maybe a blend of some kind, the a quick test is negative, ther for its not pure beeswax.Also I got the yellow version instead the white version that shows in the ordered version.I think it's not at all beeswax, more somkind of wax with a perfume.

Been looking for this wax for ages didn't think of looking on amazon works great on plain sewing by hand does as intended stops cotton from twisting

Earlier I ordered a lighter colored double pack that was parafin not real beeswax. It was a double pack so I went with that one. You get what you pay for with this one being the real deal. Coats my quilting thread and doesn't crumble.

The thread glides through the wax with ease. Helps to have the holder. Good for conditioning the thread. The fancier beeswaxes are hard and difficult to glide the thread through. Pleased with purchase.
