A delicate, well balanced and easy drinking Gin. Don't expect to be floored by citrus notes though
For a TLDR - this is delicious...I've been drinking this with a high quality lower sugar tonic that helps to lift the flavours without saturating them with sweetness and if someone doesn't stop me, there is a chance this will be finished by tomorrow....Now to the detailOn the nose, the blood orange is really nice and hits your olfactory system like a truck and gets you really looking forward to that translating across to your drinkI'd say this is the only disappointing part of this, because the botanicals are fighting with the blood orange on tasting which dampens the delivery somewhat, but still - this is a mighty drinkable ginBotanically, there isn't really a major standout player here and managing to sit on the sweet spot of 40% and deliver something that you could realistically drink all night is a wonderful balancing actOverall it's clearly a well built gin with a terrific nose and eye catching colour.I just wish a little bit more of the featured flavour came throughAs hard as it is to say, these days £30 for a good bottle of small batch spirit is no longer really a wallet smasher.A premium drink for a premium price

Hmmm the taste is not to my palate.
I paired this with Fentimans Valencian Orange Tonic Water for a g&t, however I still found the gin very prominent and harsh . In fact the gin was rather overpowering and was not a peasant experience, I certainly did not get any citrus flavours from it .

A very nice looking and tasting gin
Having also tried the blackcurrant and cherry gin too I would say this Blood Orange gin is by far the best for me personally. Not as sweet. In fact slightly bitter but very much tastes of blood orange. Looks great in the glass and bottle and does taste lovely.I tried it one part gin to 2 parts tonic. Slightly strong but extremely nice. Again not your everyday gin but certainly worth getting as an occasional treat gin.Top marks from me on this one. I'll pick up another bottle when I run out 😀

Not a huge drinker but this went down reasonably well
Not one for paying over the odds for expensive, well bottled alcohol, admittedly I'd never heard of the brand until now who seem to originate in Wales and specialise in Gin. I always associated Gin with old women but this recent (last decade or so) has seen a rise in flavours and brands etc.. I wouldn't drink this neat, but I'd say that about most alcohol (brings back too many bad memories of youth) so always paired with a mixer. This went with some lemonade to give a bit more of a fruity, citrus vibe. Neither we're that detectable if I'm honest. It had a bolder smell than taste, perhaps I diluted too much? Good colour and went down well, even if you aren't overly keen on orange. Not sure if the "blood orange" is any different in taste or just a ploy to make it sound more exotic but either way, not a bad tipple for yourself or as a gift - however it didn't ship in a fancy box or anything so would need to be repackaged.
