Small chunks and fast burning.
Its compressed sawdust, cut into very little chunks that burn very quickly. Might be ok if your smoking in a small unit but not as a fuel source as well. Personally I would stick to logs.

Good smoke and flavour
I really like these. Using them in my Smokey Mountain, positioned just next to the burning coals, they catch and produce a light smoke for a good couple of hours. Really good flavour on the meat, again it's light but you can always add more if you want a stronger smoke flavour. For me, these are just right and easy to use.

Don't lump on for these
They didn't really work out for me, using lumps of wood still gives the best smoke ring
