Winsor & Newton 1190190 Calligraphy Ink Set, Multicolor, 10 Count (Pack of 1)

I have tried lots of other reasonably priced inks and non compare well to W & N. Often the others cause intense staining. The pigment in these is perfect, flows well and last well too. I had some that were decades old, and yet still worked fresh out of the bottle. This is a nice set of useful colours for artists and crafters.

Really nice ink very opaque it usually needs a good shake before using but the colours are nice. It is not water resistant.

These inks cost £3.25 each on campus, so I found this listing to be a bargain.The top and bottom pieces of the box are essentially the same minus wooden dividers, you can tell from the indents on the cover. I suppose this reduces hassle in the manufacturing process. That said, the box can be laid flat on tables, which is convenient for organising; you can place other stationary on the cover. It's a nice box.The ink themselves are fantastic and each as as it should be. I purchased this for drawing not calligraphy, but I did try out the provided dip pen anyway and found it easy to hold, with a satisfactory range of nibs.Having used it for a few days, some things to note:- the reservoir will save you from dipping after every letter so don't misplace that- give the metallics (especially gold) a good long shake because the particles settle over time- wipe the nibs dry after washing so they don't rust- when dipping you only want to dip the nib.. let the pen stay dry- use as little pressure as possible when starting out, then add more if necessary- dip again if you need more ink (pressing harder won't magically refill ink)

Most of the items were fine but one of the nibs was bent, and try as I might I can’t fix it. Too much palava to replace it to be honest. But everything else was great.

Purchased for a friend as she had been unable to find the green ink locally. She is delighted with them and says the colours are gorgeous. She would highly recommend them.

I chose this small group of ink colours because I would use the colours in my artwork. I have always used Windsor and Newton ink because of the quality and staying power of the ink on paper. A good collection of basic colours from Jacksons - an always reliable art company.

This was a present for my cousin, she’s not put it down since Christmas! Great value set! She absolutely adores the different inks and would definitely recommend it to any one who is looking for a calligraphy set but doesn’t want to spend a fortune on it! Great starter kit!

I found it very difficult to choose between the different Calligraphy sets available on Amazon, however, I am so pleased that I bought this one. The box is elegant, and provides a really nice way to store all the tools. All the inks, tips and pen arrived in perfect condition and were easy to use. I would highly recommend this product.

Me gustó la consistencia y colores de las tintas. Recomendables.

This is only my second buy for ink. I finally got through the black and I wanted something different. This product is all that. I docked a star, and I was warned - gold/metallic inks don't glow through the nib very well, they also dry fast and form a skin kind of? Connecting strokes in letters like K is hard. Colors are great, overall I like it.
