Will this still work if added to existing oil or must it be added at the next oil change?

I have used this a number of times in older motorcycles, with great success. I have used it coincident to an oil change and also added it between changes. In both cases it has worked very well, indeed. I should not hesitate to add it without changing the oil, provided that there is room for it within the oil capacity of the machine.

Will this work on a main seal for a beetle with an air cooled engine which uses mineral oil and only holds 2.5 litres of oil.

Depends on how badly the seal is worn, if just allowing a small amount of oil to pass and small amount of smoke then could help, if seal is damaged and need replacing then it wont help..certainly worth a try if just smoking slightly...
