Solar Powered Exhaust Fan, 10W Solar Panel + 6" Ventilation Vent Fan for Outside Greenhouse, Chicken Coop, Shed, Pet House

Mounted it in gable of my 10x10 shed. Works as listed. Moves air through pretty good. On the noisy side, but my shed is a good distance from house so not a big deal. Only works when sun hits solar panel. Next one I get, will have a battery backup. Even your hand shadow over panel will cripple the fan to almost a stop.

I reduced this review by one star because the little screws that hold the motor on will back out with vibrations from normal operation. I advise that you use blue thread lock at least to put some resistance on those nuts / screws so that this will continue to operate for more than two weeks.

Junk, stopped working 2 months in. And expensive for such a chinsy flimsy thing.

I put this in my attic. I used a preexisting hole and used the same opening to run the wire from the the solar panel. My attic is running about 10-15 degrees cooler in our very hot Texas sun. I ordered another on to put in my utility shed. And the best part is that it runs for FREE!

Any shadow on the solar panel and it will either shut of or slow the motor down.

I needed to reverse the airflow so i swapped connections to the motor, works fine. Its a bit much for my use-case so I ordered a 12v fan speed control to cut it in half. I didn't like there was no screen to keep wasps\etc out, so added some extra window screen material.Using this fan in my 10x10 outdoor shed to store gas in (instead of my garage) and keep the fumes down and air moved around.

This is working great for my chicken coop. And it really helps with the smell inside the coop also it keeps it dryer and cooler in there for a chickens. I highly recommend this product. It has been up to 100* this year so far and this helped keep all my chickens alive some times they would just stay inside and stay cool rather then go outside. So far I have not lost any chickens this year due to heat.
